I help business owners with business planning and can say from experience that your spot on. Unfortunately, people get into franchise businesses without realizing all the expenses, fees, royalties involved. For most I see, the only way to Really make money is to have multiple, if not several locations if possible.

Very informative. I was reading an article that says the coffee shops are on a very high demands and better than the food industry. Also I see the second hand Clothing stores are on the demand. Thank you for your video
@FranchiseCityOnline3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Hassan! I looked at a couple of the second hand clothing franchises, they had fairly inconsistent revenue. I assumed it was attributable to location, you need to be in a very specific demographic to succeed. Not sure of the value of a franchise model in that space either, as the business itself is not overly complex.

Why is Chick-fil-A considered a franchise? It appears to be a business model to get the best managerial skilled persons that fit their business.
@jeremifrancisco1 Жыл бұрын
If it’s not a franchise, then, what, really, is it?
@gc-l.a.6024 Жыл бұрын
@@jeremifrancisco1 You have to indulge yourself in something called research. Chick-fil-A so called franchise owners don't acquire any equity in their location because they are not owners of their location. They are more like a manager of the location. It cost only $10,000 to apply to be a franchisee, and, the franchisee rents the location from Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A approach to franchising allows them to low key discriminate on religious grounds. The founders / owners of Chick-fil-A profess to be devoutly Christian. To say you don't need experience to open an automotive-related shop is insulting to the industry. You spew this utter nonsense only because you've never lived it yourself. After 45 years in the industry every non-experienced shop owner I've ever seen has failed. And not only failed out of business and lost all their money they invested but also damaged thousands of innocent families lives with substandard work. And1 Bay automotive shops are meant for master mechanics. You're not off a little you're off a mile long. You may have the rebuttal that you've seen success from not experienced people. But not in the state of California where you're extremely held accountable.

Chick-fil-A franchise model may be a very slick way to discriminate, especially based on religion.
@patricksears1632 жыл бұрын
Yeah, because whenever I go to a Chick-fil-A, all I ever see are straight, white people behind the counter.
@gc-l.a.60242 жыл бұрын
@@patricksears163 Chick-fil-A has to hire employees according to employment laws. Therefore, their employees are diverse. The concern is the people who qualify to get a franchise. If you compare Chick-fil-A franchise model to other franchise companies, you will see that their model is not a real franchise. None of their so called franchisees actually own interest in the store. The franchisees run the store in the same manner as a manager would. A manager would be an employee. An employee could exercise any legal rights provided to an employee. Chick-fil-A can easily discriminate in their franchisee selection process based on religious affiliation (non Christian), sexual orientation, ethnicity, etc. Remember, Chick-fil-A is a Christian based company with a history of having a bad look toward gays. And, I would question their commitment to have diverse franchisees.
