The Natchez is still available, but not in O1. They are now in either 4034 steel, or 3V steel. They're pretty expensive but you can still find them, just not in O1.

Too darn expensive!!!! Glad that’s out of the way …. So much blood sweat and tears went into this collection. Surprised my wife will still have me 🙏😂♥️
@John..186 ай бұрын
I've recently got the Laredo in 4034 and it's absolutely great, (imho), seeing as the Bowie knife is designed for one purpose only,, (self preservation),, then it doesn't really need to hold an edge for an enormous length of time,,, 😂🤣,, I couldn't justify the cost of the san mai version, and this cheaper one, will fulfil the intended purpose, just as well,, Some great blades there son,, 👍🗡️🗡️

Well said brother . I could not agree with you more . My problem is that I’m an obsessive- passionate knife collector. Not a good hobby to get into !! Trust me !! Such an addictive hobby . When all you really need is one . For self defense and general purpose. If you are a hunter you will need a great skinner . Must be nice Not to be a collector haha … But I tell you this … If not knife collecting it would be some other expensive vice . Thanks so much for watching and your cool comment 🤠

Congratulations 🎊🎈🍾🎉 Is your razor sharp out of the box like mine was ?? I’m so happy for you !! It’s a user brother and can take a beating . I always stress to everyone to treat their knives like knives ….and don’t try and pry open any man hole covers !! But I think you can do that with the survivalist . Haha 😂 I absolutely love it !! I’d say keep both sides of the guard on - only cause if your hand should slip , you may loose more than just a finger or 2 … That is sharp and capable enough to take off a wrist !! Please be careful ! The Cold Steel Survivalist is no joke and should come with a warning ⚠️
@scottf.38085 ай бұрын
@@tubes5150 Yep, mine is pretty sharp and the grind is even on both sides....I hear ya about the guard but I won't grind it flat as I might take a 1/4" off of it....Who knows as I am going to use her though and thanks for the tips.....

I need to get a Natchez Bowie to complete my CS Bowie collection. They still make them, just not in O1 steel. Now they're either in 4034 stainless, which is pot metal imo, or 3V, which is damn good steel, but expensive. I have the Laredo in 3V, the Trailmaster in O1, the Recon Scout in 3V, the Drop Forged Survivalist as well as Drop Forged Bowie, the 1917 Frontier Bowie, the Wild West Bowie, and the Marauder Bowie. I know there's another one that I can't remember off hand too. I love my Cold Steel knives! Oh, and the SRK in 3V as well.

I KNEW your taste in cutlery is Impeccable!!! Lots of blood sweat and tears go into gathering and collecting these beauties. I think out of all the big name brand knife companies, my Cold Steel collection wins with the most by one specific company . I was going to include the original polished handle version of the Espada in this list , but it’s on its way to Australia as I write this . I gifted to a very good friend . He’s done so much for me in the past that my wife and I decided to go ahead and surprise him with one . It will come back to me some day … I’ll find another as I believe they are still available. If not ? Oh well …. My joy is knowing that someone out there is happy with my gift . And I think he will be just over that moon with this . Stay tuned for update on that ….. Anyway - Yeah your collection is off the charts . I got lucky with that Natchez a few years ago . I had about 12 plus years ago but due to financial strain had to sell it ( amongst many others ). I never thought I see again . I honestly thought it was too good to be true when I found another . And when it arrived on my porch - it was like Christmas all over again . I had to clean it up a bit but still gorgeous!! The 4034 I’m sure is fine . I have the new edition of the Warcraft ( the biggest one ) and I put thru the torture test and it passed with flying colors . I think it’s the same steel as 4034 ???? Now I gotta check .

@@tubes5150 I get wrapped up in steels to much. Most of these knives seldom get used anyways..not because they're bad, or considered safe queens, but because we have so damn many there just isn't time to use them all heavily. I play with a new knife for a bit, then put it away when the next one lands on my porch lol
