Peles Castle is actually a palace - designed for elegance, while Bran and Corvin are castles or fortified residences.

This was and still is my favorite castle from Romania. I also love it's location. But you also could have gone to visit the Cantacuzino castle that is in Bușteni (Bushteni). Bușteni is fairly close to Sinaia (from what I remember.. I took the train from Sinaia to Bușteni and in 5 or 7 minutes max I was in Bușteni. Maybe if you go with a car you arrive there even faster). Cantacuzino is also an interesting looking castle with a beautiful view (or views.. cuz you can see some mountains too when you are in the front (main entrance) of the castle).

Yes, a redemption video for Brașov. You must climb to the ”Brașov” letters or even to the top of the hill(by cablecar too) for great views and panoramas over the city. At least go up one of the 2-3 towers around for great views of the city centre too. From the top of the Tâmpa Hill, u can go down by foot, as most ppl do. Also, visit at least the Black Church while in the city :)

You guys deserve a prize for the best traveled youtubers visiting Romania. You've seen a lot of places , way above average of travel channels. P.s. while Bran was a modified a bit with time, its definitely also a very medieval castle, and you are right .. has nothing to do with Vlad the Impaler, or perhaps he may have visited or be imprisoned there a while, mostly speculation. But still... Bran is actually linked to the Templar Knights, and there is also a tiny Templar Church in the castle's vicinity . (I do agree however that Corvin castle is the prettiest medieval castle, while Peles is a more modern work of art castle, or rather... a palace).

Don't leave yet. There are lots of places left to visit in romania. You should go to Transalpina, take a nice trip on that amazing road(Transfagarasan also but I don't know if it's open now). Parc Romanescu in Craiova(one of the biggest, if not the biggest natural parc in Europe) is also a nice one to view (the old city center is not that bad either). Moghioros parc in Bucharest is also nice. At the end of the trip, before you go to the airport, stop for a coffee or something to eat at Embassy 18 (Bucharest, the view is amazing).

Our last King-Michael I, who died in 2017, was born at Peles Castle in 1921. He was forced to abdicate in 1947, when Romania was occupied by the Red Army together with the rest of Eastern Europe. The Romanian communists then came to power for half. century, as in all countries after the Iron Curtain left in Europe after 1945. JetLag Warriors, I don't know who informed you with historical data but you should know that they are not correct. I know that you like history and that is why I am writing to you that the historical data say that Bran Castle once belonged to Prince Vlad the Impaler's grandfather, Prince Mircea the Old. Prince Vlad also lived in the castle whenever he waged military campaigns to punish the Saxons in southern Transylvania. Poienari Castle of Prince Vlad the Impaler was an inexpugnable fortification and strategic point of resistance. Peles Castle was the first castle in the world, electrified and equipped with an elevator. The electrical installation is the original installation from 1880.
