sir I have a doubt in cengage question from complex numbers - If a, b, c are nonzero real numbers and az^2 + bz + c + i = 0 has purely imaginary roots, then prove that a = (b^2)c., Sir this question seems a bit wrong as for real coefficients it does not seem that the equation can have purely imaginary roots using the relation between coefficients and roots, If I am correct please make a separate video on it

The second equation has two roots x = 0 , 1 The first equation only has one root x = 1 because putting x = 0 makes it undefined.

Yeah I see, the mistake you made.. When putting the limit after integrating , at π/2 you must have put tan(π/2) = ∞ . And then got π/2 from tan inverse... But instead in this case.. It is actually (π/2) + ... As we are integrating after π/2 .. Cuz at π/2 tan theta function is not defined. And when you take (π/2) + .. Then tan(π/2) will be negative infinity.. And then from tan inverse you'll get -π/2
