I love unintentionally relaxing/ASMR videos so your channel interests me, I just have one gripe that you can either take into account or ignore (perhaps depending on how many others feel similarly): The titles for most of your videos take the superlative laden salesman approach and while that's a peeve of mine in general, it feels particularly at odds with ASMR. It's not _unusual_ by any stretch ( _Guaranteed to make you tingle 100% Must watch!_ ) but not only does it turn me off, it's trying to stimulate and excite (with the prospect of something 'OMG amazing') when the aim of the content is to relax, soothe and sedate. For me, just like my name says, it's all about a chill vibe. Nobody's going to fall asleep in seconds so immediately your hype can be dismissed as a sales pitch. 'Drift into dreamland with this sleepy soft spoken voice' gets the same thing across without the washpowder daytime TV ad feel. Our philosophies probably won't mesh though considering the name of your channel! "I need to sleep now" raises my heart rate just reading it with its charged urgency (need, now) and couldn't get any less conducive to inducing peaceful rest. "Feeling sleepy already", conversely, positively affirms the thing we want rather than actually reinforcing the fact that we're lacking it. Imagine laying in bed thinking either phrase to yourself - to summarise, I find your approach to be...caffeinated! De-stimulate the overactive minds.
@PureUnintentionalASMR6 жыл бұрын
Totally understand and appreciate your feedback. I agree with you about the video titles but when I first started this channel, I had a great video with John Butler that no one was seeing on KZbin. When I changed the title, the video suddenly started getting views, and the channel started getting subscribers. So it was just out of necessity really. Ideally if the channel has a big enough audience, I'd like to have more descriptive titles for an ASMR audience (i.e. Unintentional, male, long), but for now I just want to make the videos findable! I promise not every video has or will have a title like this, but I genuinely feel that Dr. Williams (above) and John Butler have some of the softest, calmest voices I've ever heard. Your comment about the channel name is totally valid! It's a good point and something I hadn't thought about. I might try and change down the line if I can. Thanks again for the feedback. I hope the channel will improve to reach your standards.

I get out plenty. Eventually I wind up back home though, and when I do I watch youtube. When I watch youtube, thoughts cross my mind, and when thoughts cross my mind I occasionally express them. I'm a wordy verbose sort of guy but I type fast and think faster. Five minutes later the rant's off my chest and whatever I was commenting on is off my mind. Picture me however you like, but a picture is not a photograph.
@MoonlitVibe6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to respond at length and thanks moreso for handling the criticism so well. 8 times out of 10 I'll consider posting a rant like that but then decide not to; 9 times out of 10 I'll wish I'd kept my thoughts to myself, and 100% of the time I'll cringe if I re-read my post and want to avoid the response even more. I'm glad I read your reply though because you were a class act, even with the slight slight at the end about my high standard. I vented because I genuinely find choice of language to be powerful and wanted to give you my contrasting perspective so you could take it on board. The ability to embrace criticism of your creation is a precious virtue, so yours is the world and all that is in it!

@brambleq12366 жыл бұрын
Rowan Douglas Williams, Baron Williams of Oystermouth PC FBA FRSL FLSW (born 14 June 1950) is a Welsh Anglican bishop, theologian and poet. Williams was the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury, Metropolitan of the Province of Canterbury, and Primate of All England, offices he held from December 2002 to December 2012. He was previously the Bishop of Monmouth and Archbishop of Wales, making him the first Archbishop of Canterbury in modern times not to be appointed from within the Church of England.
