The only time Lionheart parry has ever worked has been when both me and my opponent forget its a thing. Seriously. Out of 1000 matches, i’ve only had it work 3 times, and I discreetly remember going “oh shit I totally forgot that I could do that”

Parry doesn't work because most players know not to press buttons on Lion Heart. Especialy at the highest levels. they just avoid the mid counter by either doing nothing or just c.1

Even if it is great auto parry it costs like 80% heat. And if you break that throw(like even beginners and intermediate players are able to with top steve players heera low high knee)at the start you lose the round. Overall Steve has no combo damage no mix ups his heat is trash and they removed his launchers for throw mix ups and lionhart easily countered by powercrushing.
