I love how in the middle of Hercules feats he basically just had to take Cerberus for a walk, Hades was like "hey if you can get him outside for a walk and fresh air as long as he isn't hurt that's cool"
@foulplayer7812 Жыл бұрын
Capturing Cerberus and bringing him to King Eurystheus was actually Hercules's final labor. But it's still a pleasant change of pace that everyone's favorite three-headed doggy didn't get the usual treatment Hercules gave his previous adversaries and instead went for a vacation from his job.

Fun Fact: In some versions of the Spynx myth, she'd ask travelers a lesser-known second riddle, presumably as a backup in case someone managed to solve the first. It goes: "There are two sisters: one gives birth to the other and she, in turn, gives birth to the first. Who are the two sisters?" Think you can solve it like Oedipus?

The dragon guarding the Golden Fleece was actually a many headed serpentine dragon named Ladon. Number of heads vary from source to source but the consensus seems to be at least ten. The dragon was born to guard the fleece at all times, wrapped around the tree it was hanging from. It never slept, whenever it did only half the heads would be asleep at one time. Medea did indeed help Jason by using magic, but it was either a spell or potion that put all the heads to sleep so Jason could slay the dragon and take the Fleece.

2 edits. 1) It would be more accurate to say that Zeus fought Typhon and lived to tell about it 😂 Most versions would say it took the combined might of most of the olympians to drop Typhon and allow Zeus to finally trap him. And even that took days of nonstop fighting. 2) Ladon definitely deserves a spot. Ladon is by far the strongest dragon mentioned in all of Greek myth. Raised by the daughters of Atlas, the Hesperides, Ladon was made to guard the golden apples of Hera (I think)? His scales are said to be indestructible and he has 50 heads, each capable and spewing poison on par with the hydra's and fire so hot he could melt a mountain into a puddle. I heard you mention 'A' dragon on the list and some of the feats sound familiar but for clarity sake I just thought you should know.....if you didn't already at least.

Nice job omitting _why_ Herc killed his family. It wasn’t for no reason. The short version is Hera infected Herc's mind while he was in the middle of battle and caused him to go insane, in which he _mistakenly_ killed his family. Why did she do that? Basically, as an act of revenge against Zeus for one of his _many_ acts of infidelity, of which Herc was a result of. But, ya know. Context! Who needs it? Apparently not Infographics.
