A lot of people don't like how hard I lay into the tank at the end which is fair. I just find counterswapping a mirror disrespectful but it is part of the game now and he needs to win I should not have made him feel bad. I will keep it in mind in the future that I am not the protagonist of overwatch and was toxic there everyone misses sometimes and tank makes me salty.

I think you were fine. People need to stop defending the tank counterswap *flaw* with the excuse that it's game design. Yeah counterswap was the design for OQ, and 222 RQ. The counterswap issue with tank in 5 v 5 is a game flaw, not intentional design. The more people there is that defend this flaw, the slower, or perhaps even less likely the devs will fix it. More and more people should get upset and call people out for abusing this flaw. Then more and more people will complain and whine about being targeted for abusing this design flaw. The faster the devs will sweat and fix this problem.

There is no such thing as gentleman's agreement in any game (outside of exploits and related subjects ofc), he was under no obligation to maintain a mirror matchup, his team needs takes priority over the enemy team's needs. @@sav88 Makes sense to me. I don't play heroes I find boring. I'll try to learn ways to make it work on the heroes I do enjoy. That's how you improve, strength through adversity. Also you learn nothing by counterswapping. When you play the game in the lens of trying to improve yourself instead of trying to win, you get better and ironically you win more games in the long run. Win more by not having winning as your primary goal. Don't focus on improving and only focus on counterswapping, you'll win/lose 50/50 and stay in the same rank with all the other players doing that. Have fun with that.

It's been like this for months because of the aspect that you only have one tank. That counter swap on the tank makes a bigger difference than the other roles whereas before in OW1, your other tank would obviously help you out.

@@DayKiyokki Because it encourages low skill environments and allows lower skilled players to climb higher than they should be. If you are in a situation where your teammate can only play tank by counterswapping, that player is inherently less skilled than a player that can consistently win while being countered. It's why Hog mains like Cyx can dominate Orisa players. They spend so much time swapping to counter that they never become proficient in the characters. 9 times out of 10, if you put a Hog 1 trick against a brainless counterswapper on Mauga or Orisa, the Hog will win because the other player probably doesn't understand the characters and relies on the fact that they counter(or semi counter) the enemy tank

@@jeannie_OCE Anyone actually plays tank and doesn't just 'dabble' with it every few weeks likely has had moments where they trash talk for the counterswap. If you play tank long enough, you'll reach a tipping point where you do it, or at least want to do it. Counterswap is in the game by design. But the tank counterswap in particular is not a part of the design, it's a game flaw. People need to stop defending it otherwise the devs wont fix it. The entire playerbase needs to *stop using it* as an excuse to put up with it.

Getting countered by only one character is not a big deal. Additionally people also swap to hog for self healing so it might not have been only about counterswapping you but either to enable the kiri to focus more on flanks, or to survive having while a mercy and flanking kiriko as his healers.

Counterswapping is built into the game when it was OQ, and when it was 222. The counterswapping tank issue in 5 v 5 RQ however is a design FLAW. It was never meant to be that powerful of a tactic. You need to stop defending this game flaw under the guise of game design. It will never be fixed with dumbdumbs like you who defend it.
