@TheMainManSWE I use to play P Jack with my casual friends. We knew nothing about frames and all we had was the command list. One of the reason I used to play him is because my friends all spammed lasers and fire(devil and true ogre) at any range. P Jack was resistant to fire and he goes into auto windmill punches when he get hit by laser. The coolest thing about P Jack is when he tags in if you hold Up, he flies in from above rather than run in. My friends love to dash in and push buttons when you tag out, so when P Jack lands on their head it's always hilarious. Also his forward 3+4 while negative forever on hit and block can clip people trying to tag out(so amazing when you catch them). His regular throw can also be extended into a more damaging megaton punch which is nice.

To be honest Dan, at least in SF4, wasn't actually too terrible. Low-to-mid tier but definitely not completely useless like Jack here. In fact, Dan's one of my main characters in SF4 since he finally broke out of joke character status.

The SF4 series is definately the strongest he has been but his frame data is still crap on most of his normals for footsies and pressure outside of dankyaku. He's still in the bottom 5 for most of those games (Hakan and Deejay were worse than him at some points) but the balance for SF4 through to USF4 was a lot better compared to previous titles to a point the gap between characters wasn't too large.

Dan's only good/even matchups are with the fellow bottom tiers you mentioned, so they're less relevant from a counterpick perspective.

I've played with this character since before the game came out and stayed with him because I liked how he played regardless. In TTT2 He had the best sidestep moves His 1,1,1 was awesome and 1,1,2, a great debugger and a 1+2. And his body splash to armdrills to the face were awesome...I wish there was a way to have him in J7 Slot but with his unique moves.
