Hang Mua is the most incredible viewpoint in Ninh Binh. The hike takes about 30-45 minutes and when you reach the top there are 2 paths you can take. One path will lead you to the dragon over looking the valley and the other path will guide you to a small pagoda that offers equally stunning views over the Ngo Dong River and a great photo opportunity. This steep, sweaty 500 step climb will leave you in awe as you overlook the layered mountains, valley, river, and rice fields.
If you ever find yourself in Ninh Binh we highly recommend this challenging climb up Hang Mua, it is so worth it!

Agreed. Didn’t make climb but stayed right on the fiver in a thatched hut. Would also include Hanoi old quarter and Hoi an. These three were each amazing showing the real Vietnam. Love Vietnam

It saddens me to know that more bombs were dropped during the Vietnam War than all of WWII. My dad said it was such a beautiful country before the war...can you even imagine? I cry at all the ancient stuff that was destroyed as that stuff can never be recovered. After watching Flora and Note's video with the amazing drone shots, I cannot fathom how much more beautiful this area was before the war. And never mind the poison dropped all over the land that killed/harm countless humans, animals, and vegetation for decades.

It's such a naturally gorgeous area - minus the litter. The government needs to crack down hard on littering at places like that as I saw so much plastic water bottles and trash when Tommy was up at the dragon. What a freakin' shame! I love those water buffaloes and goats, though. The water buffaloes always look so friendly and sweet to me. Check out Flora and Note's drone shots from there - it's AMAZING!

@@jq3822 You assume I don't do the same for Sammy and Tommy - I have and told others they got a comment from Sonny from the Best Ever Food Review Show, which is awesome. Funny story, I was a sub to Sonny's channel when he had like 20k and I was all over other channels telling people how great he is. He's now closing in on 9 million. Imagine that. When I see good videos, I like to share them. I like it when people suggest good ones to me as well since there are hidden gems out there. I have no agenda such as growing my channel or anything like that other than to share good videos. If the channel owners ask me to stop for a good reason, I will. But you, nope.

I would say 2-3 days based upon what other youtubers are showing. Check out Flora and Note's video as they are showing videos during warmer weather...which makes the climb more challenging.

@@SammyandTommy Definitely, your KZbin channel will explode with Vietnamese subscribers when you put English subtitles so the viewers can follow and learn English at the same time. A bonus if you can have the subtitles translated to Vietnamese as well for those not well versed in English yet. But for sure, for sure, your family travels through Vietnam will be a sensation as documented through KZbin Vlog.

Hey, I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you don't need a test before arriving in Vietnam anymore. I returned to Vietnam from Canada, transited to Japan, and didn't need to follow Japan's testing rule. When I came to Canada and transited to South Korea, I didn't have to follow South Korea's testing rule since I was just staying at the airport. Hope this helps!

Yeah, they should totally charge a little more. I never understand why they charge so little when most Westerners won't even bat an eye at another $10 extra. I know they're trying to undercut the next guy, but stand out with service and uniqueness.

Not everyone is driven by money. I got the same service quality at the other hotel in Ninh Binh. The owner was so nice and helpful. And also living cost in Ninh Binh is not high compared to Hanoi

The difference is you're talking about a country that's poor where the people out in the rural area are probably a lot poorer than city people - and definitely poorer than those in Western countries. I'm pretty sure the money will be helpful to them and I'm sure they are more money driven than the average American.
