Another great video Tony! Our riding styles and outlooks on riding are way too similar! It's uncanny to watch your videos and have you react to crashes, etc. exactly like I would react. Props on getting up and cleaning that line. Be safe and keep hammering down!

Looked for Skyline trail after watching this video. At the top I took "Skyline" which turned out for me to be Skyline Drive (2N10) to Mill Creek Road? Put me out on BB Blvd. almost 3 miles west of base of Snow Summit. I should've taken Pirates first? Eastbound? Help me out please. I did get in some good climbing and great views though.

I rode here end of season last year as well with my new Jeffsy 29er. I put in 8 runs and run 7 was merical mile. I handled the 1st have of it ok but the 2nd half had me walking parts of it. It was all over when I hit that wooden feature on a turn. I hesitated and ended up upside down with my bike on top of me. I will never for get that ride. Fun but brutal. Thanks for sharing your 1st ride down it with us. Side note what front fender are you using for your Jeffsy and have you considered or are you using a bash guard or chain guide? I haven't found many parts that fit the Jeffsy.
@TheOutsiderMTB5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing Ben. I’ve come a long way since this day. This was a rough one for sure. I’m using a generic plastic mud guard and an ethirteen chain guide I just added. I was dropping my chain constantly.

Great video and props for going back up and doing it over and over again till you cleared it. I just wanted to add a small bit of advice, I know crashing sucks and sometimes you need a minute to collect yourself but the best thing you can do is immediately get you and your bike off of the riding line if you’re not too injured to move so someone else coming down doesn’t stack it on top of you. You can check yourself and your gear safely once you’re out of the impact zone. A fast rider would be hauling ass through that lower section of Miracle Mile and may not be able to stop in time. I hope that didn’t come across as a criticism because that was not my intention, it’s clear you’ve only been up there a few times so may not be aware.
@TheOutsiderMTB6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Steven and I do see where you're coming from. This was a very slow weekday and not many people out there, so I guess that's why it comes across that I wasn't hustling to run off track. But you're right - you never know when someone is going to be shredding it up right behind you. Appreciate the comment. :)

I’ve been wanting to get into mountain biking for a long time but don’t have the money for those expensive bikes. For a beginner, is a Specialized Rockhopper good for these trails? Also I love the intro!!
@TheOutsiderMTB5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I’m not familiar with that bike, but I’d suggest talking with your local shop and explaining to them your situation. Most are honest and will work with you and your budget. Hope that helps a little. 👊🏼
@JoshuaTootell5 жыл бұрын
There is everything from beginner level trails to very advanced. Find your local bike shop that is involved in the scene and see what your budget gets you. I wouldn't put Snow Summit on the top of your priorities list. If anything, Skypark is better until you build your fitness.
