Sick, making s family trip down that way next week and looking for trails. One thai g that would make these type of videos even better would be to have a map with where each trail is in relation to each other. Easy enough to do on trailforks but then i keep gonng back and forth between trailforks and your video to see where they are. Thanks, will probably wing by Greer while passing theoigh ther way.

Took my full rigid down Peralta about a decade ago, and figured I should walk the sketch descents. No, I should have ridden them. Next time I went there, I just carefully descended. It was sketch but far easier to roll than to walk. Fun fact, 15 years ago, you could still drive a car on part of Peralta, (and under Serrano.)

Thanks for a trail update. It’s great to see you still riding so many of the lines we created. The other lines were made by trail users and ended up with lots of breaking bumps. I would like to challenge you to skip the rock jump on cactus and stay in the turns, the whole way. Try to ride the first turns you skip up top. Take it Slow at first and and find your line.

Wow, what an amazing day! I went to Santiago Oaks with my dad, and let me tell you, that climb was quite the workout-definitely not for beginners! 😂 My dad was on his e-bike while I was on my regular bike, so it made things a bit challenging. After reaching Cactus, we decided to take it easy and climbed Lower Bumble Bee, but we skipped Editions Ridge and Barnham Ridge because I was pretty wiped out. Instead, we found a nice double track and made our way back to my dad's truck. I think it’ll be a little while before I take on those trails again. Do you have any recommendations for beginner-friendly trails? I’d love to hear them! Also, I’ve been loving those videos you’ve been putting out lately-keep them coming!❤

@@SomeOldDudeMTB, as with everything trail access-related, it only takes one complaint or accident to close trail access to cyclists. so consider the unseen impact.

I think Peralta gets overlooked because it's a double track, and it has a climb in the middle. Even so, i think the trail is well worth adding to a loop along with Grasshopper to mix up the usual Hawk/Waterfall loop.
@TheOutsiderMTBАй бұрын
Agreed Chris!
@RamoMTBАй бұрын
During the pilot project a few years ago they made it hiking only but that only lasted for a year. It's one of the more hiked trails at oaks and especially on weekends mostly hikers.
@TheOutsiderMTBАй бұрын
Gotcha!
@nondotadventures5354Ай бұрын
True that it's hiked more because it's close to the Parking lot, but I find it interesting that a trail that is wide and had lot's of "LINE SELECTION" could be thought of as a hiking trail, but a trail with turns and rollers that is sigle track is considered a bike trail. Maybe someday riders will realize why we put so much work into that park.
@RamoMTBАй бұрын
