Habring is a great call but it’s really more of a micro brand. Hard to argue a brand is underrated when their volumes are so low. GO is definitely underrated.

One of my grail watches is the Glashütte Panoretrograph. Everybody heaps praise on the A. Lang & Sohne Datograph and it deserves it because it was pretty revolutionary. Few know about the Glashütte model, a watch that makes the Datograph look simple by comparison. Both sell for about the same on the secondary market which is just insane.

I’m kind of a watch geek.....and I love this company. I love their watches. Panomatic Lunar with gray dial and stainless watch band. Wow! My favorite.

I like the 'underated brands', I think many people's concern is how some of them fail to retain their value. If you spend £5-9k on an Omega or Rolex you know you can recoup a sizeable amount of that. I also find interesting how certain models within a brand fail to resonate in certain territories. Here in the UK the large chains only stock Omegas Seamaster and Speedmaster. You just don't see the DeVille or Constellation. Again in turn these don't seem to hold their value on the secondhand market. I've wanted a dress watch for a while. Last week I acquired a c1975 Omega DeVille manual-wind cal 625 111.0132 for £100! (I'll let you do the $ conversion). I couldn't pick up a Citizen or Lorus for that! It would be interesting to see the standard deviation of big brand models by sales volume.

Purchased the Glashutte Original SeaQ 39.5 mm in blue with a fully brushed bracelet instead of another Rolex. Keeps better time in six positions than my GMT Master 2! It is on a higher level than Rolex regarding the finishing. Did not want to go with any version of ETA or Sellita movements due to quality control issues and likely several inexpensive Chinese made parts inside. Best of all, it does not attract attention and no one knows how special it is until it is seen up close.

I came very very close to acquire a Habring dead second last year. However I eventually end up with another JLC (4th) Geophysic true second. Both are great watch, only the Geophysic has a prettier movt finishing and cost slightly lesser. Also easier for future servicing as well. Maybe in future I will get a Habring... we shall see. Nice video!

Glashütte Original start prices lower than those of Lange by reason they use stainless steel and employ less hand engraving in certain models. At the top end there is little difference between the two, both companies being in possession of an ability to produce fine cosmetic works of art, and grand complications. The similarity of some pieces exist within the province of traditional German pocket watch making, one must as a result, expect some shared inspirations.

Glasshuttte original does make some amazing watches. I love their sixties chronograph!!Their marketing needs improvement and significant rethinking tho. They’d also get more respect if they really got a niche and became something other than the poor mans lange

I would say that their diver releases have put them well apart from Lange given Lange offers no similar offerings.

Habring is definitely underrated because of the quality and craftmanship that goes into the watches, however, on average they are pretty expensive unless you find them on the secondary market. As Chris said below, GO is not underrated, especially if you know watches; however I can see why they might seem to be since they are (wrongly) always compared to A. Lange & Sohne.

Genta was born in 1931. Cartier created the Pasha in 1932. He only made a version of it in the 80s

GO isn't underappreciated. It gets its dues and is priced according to value. I'm not familiar with Habring; I'll have to check them out. JLC and Zenith are truly underrated brands that represent great value... especially the former of the two.

I like GO, but would swap it out for Dornblueth and Sohn. and swap the Habring for Sinn. Habring should be ashamed of giving me a Valjoux 7750 with no rotor and thinking they are unique.

OK, so while the earnest nature and enthusiasm is appreciated, the topic demands SOME demonstration of technical knowledge. You cannot skate by simply on effusive hyperbole. Anna is adorable, but she added virtually no content. Christian mixed up the Glashutte system with the actual GO company(which in fact is very young). I'm not disagreeing with your opinions- I'm just asking for more meat on the bone.
