Although I don't think I've ever seen any incident like this in one of those days though. Here it was a college and a high school game. Often those kinds of fields are in/right outside residential neighborhoods (I know that my high school has a practice track/football field/2 diamonds on the backside of the property that is right up against the old folks home/a neighborhood. And although the proper baseball field is right next to it with a proper fence and all, if you wander the long way round you can find an open route to field itself) and aren't exactly hermetically sealed. So a neighborhood dog could easily walk right in.

Sometimes there's Puppy day/night at games and fans are allowed to bring them to the games. At college/high school level most of the time the stadiums are fairly public or don't have massive fancy stadiums so the fields just normal like a local one so the dog could have easily just made his way into the field through a fence.

When I was six I threw a rock at a wasp nest and they definitely swarmed.
@gritnix
@gritnix 3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to be pedantic. Swarming is actually a specific term that means the colony is reproducing by splitting in two. Some ant species (not sure if all) swarm as well. It's not just a defensive reaction to their nest being attacked or stumbled upon. The bees in the video had split off from a nearby colony and were hanging out on that gantry or whatever it was so they could look for a new home. Nothing defensive in what they were doing. Yellow jackets and some wasps species can definitely be real jerks. Stay safe out there.
@Acadian.FrenchFry

@@gritnix I know what you are talking about. I live in the mountains in California and we have many times seen something we call "bee balls" when they have split and are looking for a new hive. I accidentally walked too close to one once and started getting bumped and another time I was out on the Delta sitting on a houseboat when a swarm came up towards our boat and we had to run in and lock ourselves inside. They kept bumping us every time we would come outside thinking they were gone. It lasted for about 45 min. Not fun.

The dogs were at college baseball games. The security at these games is a lot more lax than at MLB games. They probably just wandered in without anyone noticing. The biggest problem among all these animals was the skunk. I've once had to clean a dog that was sprayed, and I'll tell you it was no fun at all. But apart from that, skunks are nocturnal, so a skunk that's out during daylight hours could be ill, possibly with rabies. An incident similar to the one at 11:38 led baseball manager Tony La Russa to found Animal Rescue Foundation (A.R.F.), which rescues stray cats and dogs, provides them with veterinary care, and finds homes for them. A.R.F. also has therapy dogs that visit people in nursing homes and hospitals.

A black cat comes out of the stands, walks in front of the Cubs dugout and stares them down.. The Cubs, who were up by 9 games in the standings lost that game and went on to lose the division to the Mets, who went on to win their first World Series in their first winning season in franchise history. The Miracle Mets. Last place in 1962-68, Champions in 1969

So the bulldog one where he tried to bite the football player, that is the University of Georgia's mascot his name is Uga which is the abbreviation of University of Ga, that player played for Auburn which is Georgia's second biggest rivalry we (I'm from Georgia and a UGA fan) hate Auburn with a passion, so that is one of the best highlights from the rivalry and gets played on TV every time they play. It's the same mascot that the Bull went after later on in the video too, I don't know what they were thinking getting those two near each other, BULLdogs were bread to control bulls..so that pull probably saw it and was trying to get it away from him.

The snake golf hazard is similar over here in the Western US, except it's a bit more devious. You can hit your ball into the rocks and clearly see it, start making your way over and then you hear the dreaded rattle. You don't know exactly where, you just know between you and your clearly visible goal, there's something that doesn't like you being around and should you ignore it's "polite invitation" to BTFO it will resort to lethal force in the name of self defense. I suppose it's a bit scarier when you don't see or hear them in the jungles of Africa, but there's a clear heart stopping jump scare you never want again after hearing that rattler go off on you and you still can't see it.

in the US in a lot of areas, dogs are given people rights and you don't even have to have them as a guide dog to get them into places they shouldn't be. for example i work at a grocery store, and it's very unsanitary to have animals other than humans in the store, but we're also no longer allowed to ask people if their animals are for disability assistance so trashy people bring their pets in all the time.
