I'm going to do something similar in the next few months, but honestly I had stopped keeping up with new books because it seemed too hard to keep up with them, but then now I own things that I don't know about so I just always get more instead of reading what I own. Thanks for giving me the kick to figure out what I own and be more organized with it.

I hear you! I feel like that soo often! What helped me: I have a list that I add all new releases or coming soon books to & then I randomly check back every once in a while & only consider purchasing when they're on sale for the most part 😊😊 It can get so overwhelming! But at the end of the day, book shopping is my favorite hobby! 💕💕

You'll never get judgment from me about acquiring lots of books! I am a weird nerd who likes to search the internet to find out how people pronounce their own names, so I did that for Annabel Monaghan. She says the g is silent so pretend it's spelled Monahan with the h like hand. I just finished Summer Romance and I really liked it! It was nice to read about characters who weren't 23 and had adult responsibilities. I started listening to A Most Agreeable Murder recently but didn't get it finished before it bounced back to the library - I was enjoying it! I keep hearing such good things about Shark Heart, both from influencers and people I know IRL - I was resistant at first but I think I've reconsidered.
@sheisbookedandbusy5 ай бұрын
I've heard that from a few different people! Good to know it's true! I'm really excited to read a book from her - I think I'm going to start with Nora Goes Off Script 😊 Shark Heart sounds so strange, but that makes me even more interested for some reason!

I haven’t watched a second of this yet but am so pumped for that 2 hour time run time!!!! ETA : I actually listened to an audiobook of Before the Coffee Gets Cold last week. It wasn't horrible but I found it annoying that there wasn't a plot.

hey love! get excited because i cover A LOT 🤣
@IAMADRIANNA5 ай бұрын
technically speaking, if you read all the parts (I have the last one left), there is a plot there. it concerns the characters who run/work in a cafe and their lives. Of course, there are also stories of those who come to the cafe for various reasons. Overall, I recommend reading the rest! (only in the right order, because I read it wrong and it was a spoiler for me )😅😅😅
@sheisbookedandbusy5 ай бұрын
I've heard that same sentiment about the first one. I've heard that it's basically just setting up the story in the first book & the plot develops as the books continue. Sometimes that frustrates me but because these books are relatively short, I don't think it will bother me as much 🤔🤔

Okay so I've added another like 40 books to my TBR 😩😆 It's so interesting to me that you've never listened to an audiobook. I do listen to audiobooks but typically prefer to physically read them because the narration can sometimes ruin the story for me. I've found that most times (not always!) I like books better with my own inner voice. But you can't beat listening to a book while doing chores 😄 I love that your videos are long. They just make me feel so relaxed and happy!! 💕⏳
@sheisbookedandbusy5 ай бұрын
Haha sorry, girl! But if my TBR is 2378502 books long, yours must be too! 😂😂 I'm honestly getting more & more intrigued by audiobooks so I think I may be trying one soon! I'm just such a "visual" reader (if that makes sense). When I read, it's like a movie in my head, so sometimes i'm worried that the narration will be different than my picture like you said. What's really selling me is the efficiency of listening when I can't physically sit down to read. Awww that is so sweet - I always want my videos to feel like we're just hanging out, going about our days, stopping to call each other periodically to chat about our little books 🤗🤗
@lydialoeffelholz21845 ай бұрын
@@sheisbookedandbusy Haha yes my TBR is approaching that number 🤣🤣 I totally get what you mean about liking the visual component of a book! But there's definitely been audiobooks where the narration is excellent and it's enhanced the experience for me: anything with a podcast element, The Veronica Speedwell series, The Thursday Murder Club series, the Green Bone Saga, Yours Truly (I love the male narrator who does a lot of Abby Jimenez books - Zachary Webber), Lovelight series, Seven Days in June. Those are some books where I've really enjoyed the audio. And yesss! I love that you feel that way about your videos/channel!! 💜

325 + wow. I just got my own copies of ACOTAR's today. I was waiting for Target to have the buy 2 get 1 free deal again. So I got ACOTAR, ACOWAF, & ACOWAR and plan to do a slow re-read next year and also grabbed Wolfsong by TJ Klune on a Kindle deal day in June as well as A Dawn of Onyx. LOL, I love you when your trying to figure out MMORPG (an online role-playing video game). I have been hearing about Dreadful from a few people and Lovely War has been getting some hype lately. The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea is so good it reminds me of the movie Spirited Away. I also did the stuff your kindle events as well plus some the books you mentioned were free. I am planning to do my own challenge next year called Read It or Delete It to clear some space from all the stuff your kindle books on my kindle and going to keep progress in my reading journal of what I read or dnf to remind me what authors I liked.⏳Plus there is another stuff your kindle events happening this month on July 20th, 23rd, 25th, and 27th. Two books that sound intriguing are Murder In The Family and between a Novel Love Story or Heaven Breaker. Plus want to say Thank you for your book club because I was reading Book Lovers to help with my stress these past couple of days. My husband had to have gallbladder surgery so thank you for giving me a space to relax and think of nothing but a good book. Happy reading!
