I live in France, and the queen alien actually exists in a museum. It’s like a 9/10 feet tall animatronic completely articulated and moving and screaming, wich is pretty terryfing. My granny owns the nurse animatronic, though she put a mask over its original face. She has a haunted house that she does most every year, and it’s done in sections, with the nurse animatronic being in the section themed to either an asylum or a medical room. I never found the animatronic all that scary, but I can see how other can find it disturbing.

I remember seeing the Convulsing Nurse at a Spirit when I was just a kid. Disturbed the crap out of me. I remember next to her was a medical table with a face on it, like a face that had been surgically removed (just a prop obviously). For me that added more to the narrative like maybe she’d been operated on against her will by a mad surgeon or something

@@CaliOnPawzzz it’s what it sounds like - they’d strap prisoners down and place a bowl face down with a rat (or multiple rats) on top of them, typically the stomach. after they’d place a hot coal on the bowl and the rats would freak out, trying to escape - unfortunately, the only way was through the victim.

The laying dead body looks like something from Alarma magazine. That prop might work well if you use it in an apocalyptic scene or if there is some kind of strange invaded scene with aliens/monsters causing havoc. I still find that prop pretty hard to use for a Halloween haunt or display because of its gruesome realistic look.

@@CaliOnPawzzz she was once a WW2 nurse named Claire Wilson. Stationed at an emergency hospital, she met a staff sergeant named Jonathan Barnes, who she was enamoured by. The first few months were normal, until one day when a soldier was rushed into the emergency room, having been tortured and experimented on by the enemy. While trying to restrain him, the soldier gashed his nails into Claire’s arm, deeply cutting her. She was rushed off to be treated. Even after some stitches and rest, she felt sick. Everyone mistakenly assumed it was a fever. But no fever would cause Claire to get out of bed and spend the night in the bathroom, throwing up blood. When she was found the next morning, Sgt Barnes was appalled by her ghastly state. He had her brought to a new room with an IV drip, hoping she could make a proper recovery in there. However, Claire’s condition only worsened as time passed. That night she arose and sleepwalked to Barnes’ office, snagging her IV on a trolley and pulling it out of her skin. She collapsed after minutes of standing and bleeding, being found once more the following morning. Concerned and frightened, the doctors brought her back to her room and reattached the IV, asking her various questions. Claire had no memory of such a thing happening. The instances of her strange behaviour only worsened from there. Nights were elongated by her waking up and screaming for hours on end, with an older nurse who watched over her running out at the sight of blood leaking from her face and supposedly burning her skin. She then disappeared from her room for a few days, where one person claimed to have seen her in a zombie-like state, with her eyes rolled into the back of her head and eating the skin off her own arm. But by the time they fetched her from where she hid, she was shaking and crying on the ground. No one could explain what was happening to the woman. Fearing for their own safety, the doctors and authorities strapped her down to a hospital bed in an empty room, unsure of what to do with her. Some thought she was possessed, others said she was infected. Nonetheless, no one wanted to be near her room as she cried and wailed in agony in her solitude. Barnes, believing the speculations to be true, had the entire hospital on lockdown while he contemplated what to do with Claire. He didn’t know that in the middle of the night, she had broken free from her restraints; by the means of smashing her wrists to slip out of her bonds. Claire was nothing but ruined and devastated- her whole life had fallen apart in a matter of days. She sobbed at the far reality of ever being normal again. She was so anguished, she put her nurse uniform back on in an attempt to feel something. She wandered the hospital, afraid and alone, walking into an emergency care room, and finally being given a clear picture of herself in a mirror. She cried at the sight of her bloody, corroded face, absolutely disgusted and horrified. The remaining rationality left her mind as she grabbed a scalpel and began to slice her own face off. Of course, it did nothing but more harm, and in a second fit of despair and rage, Claire dug her fingers into her eyes. From his office, Barnes could hear her cries and screams, and followed them once he realized she was out of her room. He saw her hunched over the mirror, shuddering and whimpering. Claire had heard footsteps from behind, and turned around to come face to face with Barnes. She cried for help, her face mangled, red, and eyeless. He was horrified by what he saw- that wasn’t the woman he knew, that was a monster. He drew his gun and opened fire on her, puncturing her heart. As she fell to the floor, crying in pain, John came to the realization that she wasn’t dead. If she couldn’t die, then she was even more dangerous than before, he thought. He made the decision to take her away from this place and rid her from the rest of the world. Encasing her in a morgue bag, he dragged her out of the hospital and into the back of a truck. Barnes brought the broken woman to the run down asylum at the edge of town, where he secured a restraint mask over her face to cover the appalling sight, and dug hooks into the ends of her forearms. To make sure she had no way of escape, he sawed her arms at the elbow, severing them. He chained the hooks against the wall, leaving Claire there to rot. In the next few days, Claire was forgotten about. No one dared to speak of what happened to her after she left with Barnes and never returned. As for the sergeant, he couldn’t get her pained, sickening face out of his head, so he took his own life a month after abandoning her. Legend has it that the undead nurse is still buried within the asylum, fighting every moment of her cursed life to break free of her chains and agony.

He chained the hooks to a wall and left her there, believing she had no possible means of escaping. No one spoke of Claire again after Barnes locked her away. She was soon forgotten about by everyone but him, who couldn’t get her sickening face out of his head, and took his own life because of it. Some believe she is still trapped in that place, fighting every moment of her existence to break free.

So this probably won’t be read, but I’m glad to come across this. A long time ago I went to a fair ride for a haunted house. Super lame but that year it was really good and gross. But there was one animatronic of a like lady in a white dress in a bath tub with her wrists ehem… not looking good. And the whole tub was filled with blood. And it was one of the worst animatronics I’ve seen and it still bothers me to this day. I can’t tell you the shock I still have for it. It makes me wonder if the owner made her himself. Because I can’t find it ANYWHERE. To be honest, all the stuff that year was really screwed up like that. I can’t really find any records of the animatronics.

So, in the mid 90’s I had the Crime Scene Victim prop for my garage haunted house. It was not an animatronic, but was merely a static prop. If I recall correctly, I paid $200 for it in 1998. It is however, LONG gone, as are any photos I had of it, as they were all physical photos, and my ex-wife destroyed all of my Halloween photos and props when we divorced.

this reminds me of something that happened to me that’s not in relation to props but one Halloween I tried to get some candy from a person holding a bowl and there was a truck with stuff cluttered like it was hiding something and a person with a chainsaw came out and chased me. I’m still wondering to this day,what was the purpose? I gasped when the list started,,, convulsing nurse mentioned!!!! One of the extreme ones that does it for me is stumpy by scare factory. The static version is scary on its own, but the animated version is so absurdly freaky to me.
