The stove in the kitchen actually hides away, you push on the section with the burners and it pushes into the unit so it is completely out of the way. Years ago I worked with a woman who had one in her house and it was top of the line in the 50s I believe. The 50s were a time of very modern, futuristic looking furniture. Also, the rugs on the wall were very popular in the late 70s, I made one for my mom, they were pretty cool. Thanks for the nostalgia!

Great video, love all the old stuff! Harvest Host are great and all positive experience to date in our limited travels. One thing to note if you go to a general winery/brewery ask them if they know about HH as I’ve found a few local to us that didn’t know about this site. I’m sure they would welcome the additional business.

That was a exciting video which I really , really enjoyed!! Just took it all in and smile all the way through. Harvest Hosts can compete with almost any paid campsite, and sometimes Boondocking which one day I give it a try here Canada . I love how attractive the place was and the history you two talk about and seeing the vintage objects. Thank you for taking the time to make this very exciting video from both of you. BS & BK

On one hand, so glad Harvest Host is getting coverage - it's a great service. On the other hand, it always feels like a hidden secret, and I'm afraid it'll lose it's charm if too many people use it. And a harvest hosts has sites with a nightly fee and hook-ups now? Wow. I've only ever used them for dry camping. Seems like a great feature, and a great place to camp! And "wall to wall" carpeting was great with dampening noise!

It was a unique for sure! We also have only seen dry camping and most of the time it seems only one or two others at the HH's we've been to. We use it for more of a "date night" for us so we like engaging with others there and it makes it feel like were going out and having some fun! Thanks Paul!

Weird question here. Do you use regular laundry soap on your stretchy athletic wear? I’ve been using a special soap for stretchy fabrics that claims it maintains fabric stretch, but I’m a bit doubtful about the claims. Any thoughts? It’s called Stretch Athleisure Wash by Forever New. Got it because it’s a powder wash and easy to pack on plane trips.
@IreneIronTravels
@IreneIronTravels 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Joyce! This is a good question. I just use regular laundry soap. I like to use the pods because they are easy to bring into laundromats and store on the van. I never have used any special soaps for our athletic gear. Luckily, neither Aaron nor myself are really sweaty or stinky, so we don't have issues with our clothes smelling. As far as the Stretch Athleisure extending the life of your clothes....who knows? Marketing can be tricky these days and you never really know how well the claims work. I'm sure there are a lot of variables involved!!
