GIDLE are a PHENOMENON in music in general, not just Kpop. Apart from the fact that their music is self-produced, their visual concepts are also imagined by themselves especially Soyeon. Oh my God gives me chills to this day and remains the best concept I've ever seen, while LION was truly one of the best and most amazing concepts I've ever seen (in both Kpop and outside). Another thing that makes IDLE stand out to me so much is how their MVs are so well made with real props, sets and locations which gives their MVs a unique visual appeal. Not to mention the fact that they're interesting and theatrical performers as well.

Can we all address how much work was pit into the dolls in “Tomboy”? I watch tons of doll customizations and such (I also used to be a art student, so I loved seeing “Feel My Rhythm”’s references, even though I thought it was just Monet with the transitions and the more art part of the scenes). I can tell you they’re factory faces were rubbed off with acetone (the doll being Purple Top Made To Move Barbies), rerooted (hair cut off and then used a tool to put in different hair), outfits made in likeness to outfits in Mv, and all the animation (which was chefs kiss). I also loved that Shuhua’s doll literally looked like them. Only thing I hated was the dolls didn’t get their own version of the album (risky version would have been the best one), especially when they put all that work in. I’m still in love with the mv, expect Yuqi getting zero solo time in the mv (while two members for more than 2) and the fact they only put the uncensored version of the song on the physical album; BS.

Kingdom has the most unique concept of anything boy band: Royalty. I love their dances, their outfits, their music videos, and their singing. The members' stage names are inspired by kings. Each member is the main character of their music videos: Arthur/exculibur, Chiwoo/Karma, Ivan/Black crown, and Dann/Ascension (their latest comeback).

Tbh, exo is the concrete & pioneer when it comes to concept. Back then in 2011, this is something very foreign to the industry. No other groups back then have a strong solid / storyline concept that represents the group like exo. It's somewhat consider a bit cringe back then too. But look at now today, almost all groups have their own concepts & identity. It's just so fascinating to see how fast the industry has grown. Yeah , so thanks to the OG's really.

This is random but I’ve always wondered if label mates ever get slightly jealous or want to try concepts another artist on their label does: for example I wonder if Twice might want to try something more “edgy” like Itzy or NMIXX or if Itzy might want to try a more lovely/cute concept etc. Being in Red Velvet must be so fun since they have tried so many concepts and change concepts so often. They never get “stuck” into one image.
