Did my diploma in interior design I am well versed with SketchUp and AutoCAD now learning 3ds max, I feel 3ds max is complex but you need regular practice, but once you get your hands on you can create wonderful interior design renders , 3ds max gives better render than sketchup if compared.

It is the perfect combination of Autocad, SU and Max; an all-in-one software that brings together the precision of the Nurbs modeler, the flexibility of Sub-D freeform 3D modeling, excellent 2D tools for good presentation and diagramming, and of course the great grasshopper.
