while that is a very chilling scene it was definitely not a "visually stunning" combat scene. it was definitely one of the most chilling anime scenes out there though. considering rimiru decided that "oh. if i slaughter them all i have a ridiculously tiny chance of bringing back my own people? done." its more of a "terrifying ruler scene" than a "visually stunning scene" which is why Shuna made it on the list and he didnt. since basically from the beginning of Tensura, Shuna has almost ALWAYS been the "Base Mommy" of the ogres that joined rimiru. she made sure the politics and logistics of everything was always fully functional and effective, she was the master chef, she was the master weaver, the viewer has never seen her in a legitimate combat situation ever since rimiru gave her a name. and her fight with adelmann was literally the first time she was ever in a real combat situation and really fighting instead of being backline support and oh boy did she DELIVER.

You always see like big powerful attacks to engulf/wipe out the enemies but Rimuru just... levitated there in plain sight and just Zapped them all. Id imagine like if you were a soldier in that scenario seeing the boss of the enemy just callously murder your whole team IN BROAD DAYLIGHT in open air no less... you just feel despair and hopelessness.

@@koningstijnlol Yes and no. Under normal circumstances, Karna wins every time with Vasavi Shakti. Sieg, however, had (1) a command spell boost, (2) Fran's Galvinism, (3) Siegfried's techniques, (4) Akhilleus Kosmos, a conceptual defense that traps an attack within a miniature world, comparable to opposing the entire world to break through, and (5) did not face the full brunt of Vasavi Shakti due to it being anti-Divine and Sieg lacking divinity. The shield only worked because Achilles has so many legends about giving out relics and Astolfo has so many about receiving them, and was honestly the biggest factor in stopping Karna's Noble Phantasm. Besides, Balmung is still a reforged Gram, and Gram is stated to be the demonic equivalent of Excalibur, being a sword containing True Ether from the Age of Gods. Balmung held out for several seconds under all of its boosts, and Akhilleus Kosmos trapped and blocked Vasavi Shakti, at which point Karna was wide open as per his legend. Before the final clash, Sieg was able to keep up by abusing Galvinism to chain release Balmung as an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm to parry Karna's attacks, with the latter comparing the sword to Brahmastra Kundala. Suffice to say, this is Fate, there is always a fair and valid lore explanation, no matter how contrived it may seem.

The top most visually stunning of all time goes to Goku vs Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga. The Beam Battle. The techniques we have today can certainly make things more flashy and I ain't saying it's not pure spectacle. But for it's time, as compared to now, it was Godlike.

Oh my God YES! When I read the title of the Video I thougt you'd just bring up big boys like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach and etc. but the first one you brought up was Kekkai Sensen! I really love that first "big" fight in Kekkai Sensen and I can absolutely recommend watching it! The story, characters and world are interesting as well as the power system! On top of that are the animations which give this Anime the cherry on top!

With all due respect to the amazing and legendary anime scenes the animators blessed us with all those years, that specific episode of Demon Slayer was NOTHING but out of this planet, legendary, epic, just name it. I couldn't remember if I was breathing or not during the explosion, I think I played it again and again for like 2 or 3 hours non-stop. Whatever they are paying them, it will never be enough and just.

One of my favorite scenes is Whitebeard during marineford doing a casual swing with his spear. We get the perspective of a marine as the sheer air pressure launches hundreds of them far into the sky.

In that same vein, when he goes full rage mode on Akainu and smashes him. The impact (literally) of that slam with the emotion from the events and scene behind it was just like, bruh. I still think it's a BIT poorly written that Akainu lives, but WB was very heavily wounded so I suppose that's the general gist as to why other than plot armor.

The most shocking display of power i've ever seen in anime was actually when Diane (Nanatsu no taizai) got her sacred treasure back and used it to destroy a whole city It wasn't much compared to other displays, but the whole build up with the creepy soundtrack in the background, the villain yelling at his subordinates to get out of there immediately and mainly the direction that made those watching believe that the threat was Meliodas when in fact was Diane All of that and that shot of her lifting a montain-size rock from the ground just to crush it back in was just so epic for some reason

I feel that Wei Wuxian from Mo Dao Zu Shi deserves a placing somewhere. Two instances come to mind; the 1st is when he destroys a massive magic array hiding an entire mountain, and does it with no apparent effort (2nd season ep3). The other is when he makes his reappearance during the Sunshot campaign, and uses his form of necromancy to completely destroy the encroaching Wen forces, which had caused so much damage to the Sunshot encampment and forces (1st season ep14-15). William G Maryblood also deserves a chance - the Faraway Paladin has some incredibly epic scenes, including Will strangling a massive Wyvern in front of the High Temple in season 1. Season 2 caps that by having him face the Dragon Valacirca, a being 1-step down from the Gods, and as such virtually impossible to defeat. The ogre he judo tosses earlier in the same season is small potatoes but really makes it obvious that Will is OP, and Valacirca is def an appropriate enemy for him to throw-down with.

I love anime, and to me they are all on par with each other because it's subjective, ya know? Just because you don't like slice of life stuff doesn't make it bad, it just means YOU don't like it. Same with pretty much everything....however, that being said....Bleach just came back out...and whipped it out and slapped it on the table and told everybody to take a look. These new episodes are straight up dunking on literally every anime out there without exception. Just absolutely going to be wild at the end there. HOLY CRAP BLEACH IS ON FIREEE!

There is absolutely no way any anime will ever beat fate animations. I have to say you had a strange choice there with karma, where the animation quality was way lower than before. The right choice should have been saber and excalibur. And if its the movies, even more I would also add dragon ball with the broly movie. Those are absolutely top tier and eye candy
