I can guarantee that if they released it as Burnout: Fairhaven or Need For Speed: Burnout it would've actually been positively received for the most part. If you forget the Most Wanted name for a second and just think about the game as is, you'll see that it's a pretty solid arcade experience that doesn't demand too much from you but still makes you take the handling seriously if you wanna go fast for longer than 10 seconds. It's a properly good Burnout game that was branded and marketed incorrectly, not sure what EA were thinking which that.

I didn't play many Burnout games, so maybe I don't have comparison, but I'd have to disagree, especially with the part about 'solid experience' - I just can't call this constant series of crashing-out cutscenes a solid experience. I wouldn't call it even good, however - I can't say, that any NFS, that I've played, that came out after this one was any better than this. Call me a boomer, but this series peaked at the first Most Wanted and it has been all downhill from there - at least in my opinion.

When I had a working Vita, I had this game on it and I must say that this game for that system was almost a selling point. This game is 1-2 hour fun always, so for longer travels it's good game to have around, a really good one

Back in 2012 I thought this was the best nfs since the original most wanted. God play this for the first time was so much fun. With all my friends playing our own custom races we did. Doing stunt jumps. And finding out of bounds glitches were everywhere. What I honestly loved about this game the most was the sound and look of the cars. So real and crisp. I won’t get a game like this ever again unfortunately. I may have been blinded by nostalgia just a bit with this game but playing this at 14 and seeing the dlc packs and map expansions were so fucking cool. I remember before I even bought the terminal velocity pack I actually glitched out the game and was driving around the airport without even playing. Was so cool. I was hyped for rivals but that game was trash compared to this. I just don’t understand why this game got so much hate.

Yeah, the game on it's own was pretty fun Problem is, they called the game most wanted. And with 2005 most wanted, being the best game in franchise up to that date, a sequel would have to go above and beyond to match players expectations. Like imagine if half life 3 was announced. The fans would expect the best game in the universe, considering how much time has passed. Anything else - and it's going to be marked as a failure. Same thing here. But that's only a part of the puzzle. The development was, let's just say troubled. And indeed, at the start of the project it really was supposed to be a proper sequel to most wanted. But then something happened (crunch, probably) and devs had to make a game out of what they bad, which wasn't a lot. By the way, there's a lot of beta videos of nfsmw12, what the game was supposed to be. Very interesting stuff, you might wanna look it up if you're interested.

This game was soo good i bought a key for origin around 5 moths after the release for 3 Euro. :D Also this game was first NFS where mobile version was better that main release. Fact number 3 - you can play many different developer versions on PS3 and every one is better than released version. You have power ups, special camera to identify other cars and top down view as GTA 1-2.

We hated it because it deviated away from everything that made most wanted '05 one of the best racing games of all time. Whereas that game had a dark and gritty story and atmosphere, Most Wanted 2012 was overly peachy with no story whatsoever. Also, the fact you could change tires while driving is laughable. Last but certainly not least, the M3 GTR sounds absolutely nothing like it did in Most Wanted '05. Whereas it sounded like a high-powered race car in that game, in the newer Most Wanted it sounds like a generic and unmodified car. That, my friend, is why people hate this game so much, and I can't really blame them.

It was a cliche and predictable story that was written due to the popularity of F&F at the time. No one who played most wanted liked it for its story, the game was just really fucking good and fun.

The handling model was perfect. It only lacked steering sensitivity and drift entry options. Higher steering sensitivity would make the car's handling responds quicker.

I have played this game for the first time few months back, and to be honest I did enjoy it. Sure the input lag is still there, crash cams being annoying as ever and the content was kinda bland, but what they did right in my opinion is they captured the atmosphere of the game perfectly. So much that if they made the carreer more interesting, it could easily enter the top ranks of NFS games. Look at the graphics alone, for 2012, its very good, playlist was a flamethrower, spitting fire all around, and god the ambient lightning, be it night or day, captivated me so much I caught myself stopping and just looking at the sun rising or setting. Thats why I think, that if you had stuff to do in this game, it would be in the upper ranks up there.

Tbh this game was fun for a couple of hours, but after that... no sense of progression, no buying and tuning your cars in the garage etc. just roaming in an empty city got pretty old. Soundtrack is a banger though

This isn't NFS Most Wanted. I agree. It is Burnout but instead of with original and fictional cars it uses real and licensed cars. It is completely different from 2005 Most Wanted. They put the M3 GTR, even with the NFSMW livery, to make it more relatable? Still a fail.

Bro, It's self-explanatory if you know the catalogue of predecessors, I mean older NFS games, and if you see: 1)Why the heck they named this game as *"Most Wanted"* as it gives a burnout experience with licensed cars.(*BTW I'm not triggered, i said is becuz alot of people are triggered and commented this the first thing abut this game.*) 2)*Same Brake to drift mechanics from Ridge racer and burnout derivative*, so that means they didn't sticked to the roots of the Blackbox's NFS Most Wanted's *grippy handling*, As expected! 3)*No serious progression*: That means you can freaking start the race from Porsche 911 to even like boss battle like BMW M3 GTR or else Koenisegg Agera, and also you can change car to any type and there's no restriction, and if you're NFS MW fan an you've thought that this game might show some improvement that the game has DLCs like terminal velocity, one with james bonds cars idk the dlcs name but you need to be stupid as well becuz *if you see the dlc price in steam is frigging higher than the vanilla game instead, like how the frick i--ii how is this possible on earth?* Whereas in older nfs game like even fricking Undercover which is worst rated game had certain progression and even older games have fast travel where they still kept the progression perfectly fine like Most wanted 2005 by black box, here it is easydrive just like burnout paradise but you really have no idea which races would be beginner's friendly except first race when toggle the car between porsche carrera to Aston Martin idk the model i guess DB12? 4)Although the game is beautiful as heck ngl, but you gotta need to understand that the NFS fandom or people in general was really expecting something *grittier and more filthy story with the game asthetics*, which initially *criterion really tried out but due to rush development they scrapped out and I can understand*, but some people still can't get the gist and stubborn to understand that that it's not a NFS game that what you expect and that's what they''ve failed to understand that like the frigging BMW M3 GTR vinyl design that they've messed up, and so on. 5)*Like the Criterion racing game history like from Burnout, they never introduced story cutscenes*, and *unsurprisingly as you expect there's no cutscenes*, like *for eg.: freaking NFS The Run the last blackbox and the 1st and the last Frostbite racing game made by blackbox had cutscenes although linear they do but and the gameplay was with the corelation to the gameplay which the game stoodout to this date if not so but not only because of the cutscenes only*, but in this game there's no proper storyline thus as aformentioned the progression also breaks so it's like puzzle that you need to pick up and set it up despite being unknown to the theme/central idea of that picture. 6)*Customization is very scarce, I mean very less, there's not a lot to choose from, but the good thing is that you doesn't need to go to garage find the best suiting color, best performances to choose from, then finding decals and vinyl customization, then boodykits, then lighting, then rims,etc quite a tedious job indeed * **but** once if you achieve what you really wanted to customize it feels rewarding and there's where the fun part comes from it's isn't there in this games, just toggling the performance options preset vinyls and other customization and a tip that game gives you at start that if the tires get inflated due to spike stripe you can use easydrive and choose a option to any tire modification except the tires that you're running at. Quite a useful thing in multiplayer, i mean Idk about the multiplayer in this game as once i got stuck in one of the game mode and I couldn't change options like there's wasn't any HUD there so yeah quite weird that only I've faced that but it was at initial time when it just launched in origin play access :), i quitted the game alot. 7)*Sorry guys for this thing to be like headache to read, but I'm pretty sure you guys agree or maybe not, that the game lacks a lot of content and other features and if people even having the limited edition game you still know that the content is still lacking and there's no groundbreaking things going on in this game* , *like underground series customization*, *most wanted, Undercover and carbon pursuit system (I mean I can understand that even before there were pursuit system, but if you asked me it was a lot messier and there were not related to gameplay progression like the one in Most Wanted)*, *prostreet sense of speed and amount of cars and car sounds and some infamous tracks, I mean It's the game that make the series completely different and I like that*. This game doesn't have any groundbreaking feature except multiplayer game modes maybe, but as for singleplayer perspective, you get the same feeling as you're playing the burnout game even though it's isn't a burnout game. But you get the gist, It's not what you expect, I mean looking it now It's somehow better, thanks to mods! *Sorry guys if you went as I aformentioned*, a *tremendous*, *troublesome headache of points to note*, but that's what I felt, maybe I'm wrong and I know that, *but dang :0 you guys have immense patience, and I appreciate that :)*, and *there's good thing about this game, beautiful graphics, beautiful cars, beautiful places to choose from, banging soundtracks like Icon pop- I love it, and has certain burnout essence which for me despite a NFS game still stands out for me.* I hope :) you get it what I mean, stay safe, be happy guys and thanks, thanks, thanks alot guys, appreciate it :). The handling is not responsive enough (steer too slow), crash cam is annoying(5 second) and noting need to manage(no money etc), give something like crash x amount of police car to race next boss. Yes, a lot new players never played underground2 most wanted carbon. I actually spend more time playing The Run than this game. Even the story is short.
