10 less years on tour then serena yet...spent most of her career #1. people need to understand just how dominant steffi was, why i see her as the goat. both navritilova and williams are outstanding and accomplished a lot, but steffi was just on another level during her brief career

LMAO Everyone seems to be spoiled by the longevity of Connors, Williams sisters and big-3, that they forget how rare it is for any pro player to play for 20 years or more...17 years is anything, but brief, now Borg on another hand...

@@Summon256 and yet in ten less years on tour, which started when she was 13 years old I’ll remind you, she accomplished things no one has ever accomplished before or since. Nor does it even seem possible for anyone to duplicate. Golden slam -88. Won all four majors at least 4 times. 377 weeks as number 1 in the world. Serena may have some great accolades, but not like Steffi. Sorry, you’ll never convince me otherwise. The fact Serena won a single additional title over Steffi doesn’t suddenly propel her past some of Steffis greatest accomplishments. Not to mention how differently she carried herself on court. No tantrums, no ridiculous grunting, no yelling to try to intimidate everyone, no threatening umpires, linesmen… no cheating.

As I really like Barty I want to note that she would not be a WTA leader so long if not covid ranking freeze. She could afford to not to play a lot and keep her position. Under normal circumstances she would probably be able to keep it however this rule worked in her advance back there.

121 weeks as world number one, yet only 3 slams each in separate season...yikes...Lindsay overstayed her welcome on top of rankings as well...shouldn't have been longer than 40-50 weeks...Venus on another hand should have done significantly better than this, like ten times better at absolutely least! Still during Seles's peak (1991-93) it's Steffi who leads their h2h with 3-2. In fact it's Sabatini who caused trouble to Steffi beating her 7 out of 8 times from 1990 WTA finals to 1992 Amelia Island. Seles domination over Graf was just a myth & her stabbing was just a paper cut nothing else.😂😂 Even doctor questioned her injury.

But Monica drags it too much to gain sympathy from the people. In fact she failed to show proper medical report in front of German court. According to nytimes times article she was fit enough to play 1993 us open. Why she didn't play??? Fear of getting ass kicked by mentally & physically fit Steffi.😂😂
