The 33-meter cross was erected in 2000 on Hum Hill, at the site from which Croats shelled the city and everything that was for the state of Bosnia, not only Muslims but also Christians (Orthodox and Catholics) who were not with the HVO (The Croatian Defence Council - the military force of the Croatian Community of Herceg-Bosna (HZH-B), the self-proclaimed para-State of the Bosnian Croats in certain parts of the Herzegovina region). It was erected to symbolize 2000 years of Jesus' life on earth, but in reality, it serves as a reminder of Mostar as the Croatian capital in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Herceg-Bosna as the third entity. The cross marked Croatian territory materially, ethnic cleansing, and the expulsion of Bosniaks and Serbs during the last war. The Croats formally confirmed their desire for domination by placing the cross on Hum Hill

I am a Bosnian. Stop referring to BiH and Sarajevo as muslim please. We are multiethnic and secular. It’s one of the things that make Bosnia and Herzegovina what it is. You’re denying a part of our culture
@starskylonАй бұрын
Indeed ..this sort of segregation and sectarian views are not welcome for multiculturalism in Bosnia go to Britain where you from and spread those view there …he need to be grown up we know he accepted Islam but honestly it’s disturbing the way he present Bosnia Herzegovina
@nosmokejazwinski6297Ай бұрын
Bosnia and Sarajevo are Muslim majority whether you like it or not. Having a secular government has nothing to do with that. By acknowledging that fact nobody is denying anything. As a matter of fact, you are the one here trying to deny our Islamic heritage because you seem to be ashamed of it.
@ioardАй бұрын
@ I am not ashamed of anything. I’m half bosniak and proud of it. I love our culture and all that comes with it including the influence we have from ottoman rule and islam. But the fact is that we are a multi cultural society and that is one of the beautiful things about our country. Don’t tell me how I feel. I didn’t say anything negative about any religion or ethnicity but these influencers going to Bosnia and pushing their narratives is not something I love when they misrepresent us. I also believe that if Bosnia is represented as being one ethnicity or one religion that it gives more legitimacy to nationalists who want to distance parts of our country from itself.
