Seeing Amos play through this is like a work of art all by itself. So many different styles and skills, all perfectly meshed with the rest of the band. The harmonizing that he does with the singer in the middle of the song (while still playing a "normal" bassline at the same time) is so beautiful. This dude is off the chain. Cheers.

Have been playing this song since it came out and it is by far my favourite. Just got schooled by the master!! My hamfisted version may play the rough notes but the intricacies that are included in this are just insane. I especially love the cadence of the final section with the three fingers. Those bends...holy wow they are aggressive it's not until you listen to the playthrough that you see that these parts are driving the song. This is why Amos is my favourite bass player ever. Thankyou mate and I cannot wait for the day I can finally see this all live.

Amos, I love you man! You and Jay have taught me how to play more "efficiently" ... less can be more. I don't mean that as a backhanded complement, but just, yeah, trying to play in a modern progressive metal world is hard. But anyway, "King" is still in my top 5 best songs ever written.
