That brings back many memories from the 90s when I had one. For me it's the best console ever made. Thank you for uploading this.

Oh wow this brings back memories of my childhood. Back when consoles came with 2 controllers, a pack in game and all the necessary hookups to play out of the box and I think the SNES at launch retailed for $199.99. I miss those days. Now You all you get is a console, hookups one controller and no pack-in game anymore. Back during the SNES days was when games were simple with no patches to download, no microtransactions etc.

Yes indeed😊

Brand new console and cartridge smell! This would have been a perfect unboxing in terms of the quality of packing and the item... if the seller wouldn't have added packing tape to the console box itself. Every collector's nightmare scenario! Much swearing as a result.

I hear your frustration. I’ve had collectibles with both tape and aftermarket price stickers on them which lifted some of the box art when removed. I wish more sellers would keep collectibles factory original.

As a casual observer who stumbled across the video, I am confused why the tape was such an upsetting discovery. Does it ruin the value or something?
@SellerIQ4 ай бұрын
Yes. The closer the condition is to an undamaged original, the higher the value of a collectible item in general and personal satisfaction for a collector. Also, the item is supposed to be shipped and delivered in the condition presented in the auction.

Nothing like unboxing a fresh clean classic vintage game system.

Yes! The authentic smell of that vintage 90s plastic is like a nostalgic note that hits the retro gamer's soul.

One specially-marked version of this bundle came with Super Mario All-Stars; otherwise you had to mail in for it. In December 1994, the five-in-one Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World was released, but it was only available as a pack-in in the Super NES "Mario Set" bundle.

someone who wants to protect against fingerprints on a 30 year old box to the point they use gloves shouldn’t ever even think about buying their collectibles online. they need to really go to a games store so they can inspect the condition in person. sure, it will cost more; but this is exactly the type of customer that MUST use that avenue.
@SellerIQ4 ай бұрын
It's nice to have a retro gaming store nearby and I do stop by the one nearest to me when I'm in the vicinity, which is 1.5 hrs away, but online is the only way for most collectors these days.
@SaturnHST7 ай бұрын
Doesn't look like it is brand new. The cartridge is missing it's plastic bag. The ac adapter cord looks like it was unraveled. Also, it is supposed to be tucked into the plastic bag. The rf switch is not in the correct spot. The plastic bag for the console is upside down (the red text faces upward).
@SellerIQ4 ай бұрын
I'm guessing the reseller 'inspected' it. If they were willing to add tape onto the box, likely the details of bag placements would not have concerned them in the slightest.
