What indeed ? Douglas Addams, when quizzed about the ending of the (rather bleak) ending to the 5th book of the trilogy, said that it had been "a bad year". He had planned on writing a 6th book to end the story in a more comfortable way but never quite got around to it and, well, we know what happened instead. But, basically, the story ends with the MK2 guide engineering the multiverse to a point where the Vogons complete their mission with both Trillions killed at the same point in spacetime. This served to collapse all other universes into one and erasing everything that happened after Ford and Arthur escaped earth at the beginning of the story.

I just listened to the first video, it seems really cool. I would love to hear a longer version, with actual narration and not A.I. and idk what's with the weird A.I. clips playing, but the story seems cool. But it makes me wonder if the story is just A.I. generated as well
