I loved this video. Your explanations are superb and the editing is very nice. Very insightful. The only suggestion I have is you could put clips of what was happenings during the test in the debrief, so it is a bit easier to understand what you're talking about. Thanks for the great job.

I Don't know if you're reading these comments Sacha, but if you are, I also get very Anxious in tests / exams and think the worst. My examiner luckily was a talkative guy, but it might be worth having the radio on quietly as I did for my test to try and fill the empty air and potentially calm you down as you aren't just focusing on what the examiner is doing. Make sure it's quiet if you do it as you dont want it taking focus away from the road and you need to be able to hear the examiers insteuctions. You're a good little driver and I wish you the best for your test!

In the US, they do not allow street parking in a direction opposite of travel. Seems like a chaotic mess otherwise and increases the risk when entering or leaving a parking spot.
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
It’s a bit confusing here in the UK. The rule is “Do not park facing against the flow of traffic” which means don’t parallel park on the wrong side. However you are permitted to pull up on the right accept at night. but it’s not recommended. It was always puzzling as to why they put it on the driving test but there it is! 🤷♂️
@cathybryant51192 жыл бұрын
I moved to the UK from the US and have a visceral response when asked to pull up on the right. Every fibre of my body is screaming "NO". I would never, never do this in real life and am shocked that I must do it in order to be able to pass my test.

Great video as always, love your analysis on these! On the serious at the mini roundabout, shouldn't the red car give way to Sacha?
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes the red car should be giving way to Sacha but he should have thought about using it as a shield. If he had let go it would have blocked the Range Rover. Does that make sense?

Another great vid. Not sure what people mean about allowing the candidate to feel more relaxed in a mock test? In lessons yes, On both my driving test and HGV test the examiner's did not speak unless giving clear instruction. Thought that was the norm
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I guess it is. Some are chatty and friendly. That tends to relax the candidate much more as long as it doesn’t become a distraction. An examiner should be aware of the stress a pupil would be under and try to make them feel more comfortable, however as I said in the vid some are better at it then others.

I'm so confused about 18:36 1. Where's this junction, the only one I see is to the left, which I'm not sure it's the one your refering to? 2. Why is there 2 opposing lanes on a slip road I'm so confused
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
If you’re talking about the mini roundabout have a look at the pinned comment. I did a vid to explain it more clearly. The slip road is not like a normal slip road. Visibility is quite poor until you are close to the exit of the slip so he just approached it a bit too fast.
@CerebralRiches2 жыл бұрын
He doesn't look in the mirrors, he looks at them. 4:10, 18:25 are the ones i captured, there were more. No way you can see the traffic while looking so short at it.
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
You make a very good point! Yes sometimes we look but don’t actually see. However in test he would literally have to miss something for it to be faulted as he is looking. Very good point!! 👍

i was really confused about the t roundabout, i thought you only give way to the right so the red car should give way to the learner?
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
I have a feeling I haven’t explained it properly. Yes the red car should give way to Sacha but Sacha should have let the red car go therefore blocking the vehicles on Sacha’s right. Does that make sense?

im sorry but the mini roundabout should not be a fault he has priority the mazda shouldve slowed down for him to pass
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
I’m going to redo the analysis in another short vid because it’s not clear enough. The Mazda was the solution not the fault. He blocked the Range Rover on his right. Look at it again and you will see the fault. However it’s my fault that I wasn’t clear enough in explanation.

Hilarious at the start 😂 Sasha is really good though just was a bit unfortunate with them tough roads, do you think Roland that when devising the test routes the test center manager knows what bits will catch people out like that bend ..probably stating the obvious there but is that the motive when coming up with routes to catch people out or test people and make them better or are they same thing 😂🤷🏻♂️ I feel sometimes they look for quirks in the road
@GetWheelDriving2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Danny!! It’s very possible. I’m sure they will find routes or make sure a particular junction or road type is in the test. I don’t think they go out of there way to trick candidates but sometimes it feels like that. We’re all human. They do revise them if they realise, eventually, if it’s unfair…
@Dannysdrivingschool2 жыл бұрын
@@GetWheelDriving yeah that’s what I have struggled with ,I feel it’s us vs them at times and it’s a game of cat and mouse .. entrapment is a strong word, I think it’s probably somewhere in the middle , I hope the motive is always to improve candidates and push us to improve candidates .. and all these junctions exist so I get it , I think I just feel annoyed when my pupils get caught out 🙈
