I couldn’t get enough of Penguin book covers, they’re just on another level! 💛

I love buying new books but on the other hand I get super excited whenever I make a good bargain at the second hand book shop

For me it's the kismet of finding books I didn't know I needed or have been searching for. The romance of the used bookstore holds sway over me.

I adore The Great God Pan, had to study it for undergrad and it's divinely daft and amazing (and written by someone just up the road from me).

I've been meaning to pick up that copy of the Oresteia. I read both volumes of Sophocles last year and his Electra was probably my favorite, so I figured the Oresteia would be a good place to start with Aeschylus.

I haven't read Sophocles since my undergrad. It would be really interesting to do a side by side comparison. I'll have to wait until I have all my copies and then do just that!

I absolutely love Black Squirrel Books! I live in Upstate New York at the moment but everytime I go to Ottawa I make a stop there!

We should do a little meet up next time you're in town!

That sounds like an amazing idea! We should plan something for August 24th, 30th, or September 7th! Those are the earliest times I might be able to get into Ottawa.

I also buy mostly used books now, and use the little free libraries I can find in my city. This way I don't know what I'm gonna get and can be surprised. Also if I need a new book I usually buy it on my ereader as it's cheaper and can then find it used if I really want a physical copy :)

There's a little free library near me that I drop books off too but it's mostly children's books.

I buy a lot of books from old bookshops when I’m in Islamabad which is a city which has a lot of old book shops. When I was in Peshawar I bought books online.

It really depends on location. If I didn't live in a big city I'd order more online.
