This reminds me of my sister and I. When we were in kindergarten I would climb out of my crib when my sister called for me because she hated sleeping alone. I would then have to crawl into hers. Later on in elementary school we got a bunk bed. She had the top one but still hated sleeping alone, she would always climb into my bed and make me move out of the way so she could sleep on the side by the wall.
