Love watching you work through things. This quilt top is giving me comic book vibes.

Oh I love this scrappiness and I can see the wheels turning while you’re working on it. The addition of the stripe elevates it to a level beyond just scrappy.

I love the “intentional randomness” of this! The colors really pop against the black. Thanks for the fun video. 🙂

When you first started cutting, I thought you were crazy. But the way it turned out is amazing. I can't wait to try something like this. Thank you for this artistic approach to fabric creation.

Absolutely amazed by the effeciency of your first "exploratory cuttings"! I learned something really useful about busy prints, thank you so much! I might dare to cut into mine soon 😁

I think you did an awesome job working with the Butterfly material. I would never had thought about cutting it up and then putting it back together in hat way. You made an amazing quilt. What an imagination.

Try using fabrics with big, discrete, separate areas of colour. Using a very busy fabric like this results in a SNW/1BW quilt that looks very much like the original fabric.

My favorite things, crumb piecing and doing random cuts to fabric. I’m going to find a piece of fabric I love but don’t know what to do with it and try this Fun FUN!

I would not have thought to do this. It reminds me of a shattered mirror reflecting something very colourful. It might have been interesting to back the quilt with the original butterfly fabric.

All that random chopping gave me anxiety but your quilt turned out beautiful. I can't wait to see it finished. Great choice of the accent fabrics. At first I was struggling to see your vision but well done I think you nailed it.

I agree about the seamline. I think that I would have unpicked it and joined it back together with a stop petrol or the black and white striped fabric. Looking lovely though. Reminds me of a cathedral window type quilt block / quilt top. Ps scrappy quilts are always my favourite. They are just endlessly interesting to look at!
