The last dance was featured in the classic film Brief Encounter. It was played by a group of women playing in the lunchroom where Laura and Alec had lunch for the first time. I just heard it today October 15, 2021 on WQXR FM radio. I never knew what it was! The women were playing it terribly bad but it was hilarious nevertheless.
