Before hearing this I heard the same orchestra & conductor perform the Lohengrin wedding march which overwhelmed me by the sublimity of the performance and this piece has produced the sane effect. All the musicians involved here seem to have a special talent for revealing more clearly than any other the power & beauty of Wagner's music. I have heard many performances by world class orchestras & conductors but I have never been so moved as I have by this one. Kovacs seems to be living the music in his conducting. Very impressive.

What a performance! I would have been standing up and spreading my arms to clap high above my head. Not only for the orchestra and the conductor, but for Wagner himself!

Though I would have liked to be in the audience the camera magnificently shows the members of the orchestra and the chorus. Must have been a tremendous work for the conductor to unite orchestra and this gigantic chorus.

I think it's vice versa. Every composer was influenced by Wagner. It's not possible to overstate how "big" he and his music were, once upon a time.
