This is a fantastic remix. The added 'bridge' (or whatever it's called, at 0:46 - 1:15) is a very nice addition. It's a smacker. I wish I knew a more about music theory, so I could accurately convey what I love about the changes to 0:14 - 0:25. It's like the the peaks/troughs of the notes are a lot smoother, it really flows.

This is quite late, but the original version actually only uses 4 audio channels and would be able to run on the NES's APU. In other words, the original is full "8-bit." This however, would've required a more advanced APU and couldn't run on the NES without modification as it has 10 audio channels.
