I see it as her being disconnected and not facing reality. It looks like a psychotic break. The trauma of loosing the baby broke her. Not everyone becomes a blubbering pile of tears, sometimes grief presents itself in different forms. When my grandma lost her adult son, she cried and then her mental stability began to rapidly decline. She was never the same. She went from a cognitively aware adult to having to be cared for in a nursing home. So it’s not fair to measure your perceived/experienced reaction to another person. 👀

@@mynineandi I can't say for sure that she did it, of course, only that it seems that way from what I've seen. However, the mother is the one who had the baby directly before the father did. It's entirely possible that she did something and then immediately left him with the father. If she did, then the father is likely covering for her, and that's why she's not being looked at as a suspect.

I feel like the husband plays a larger roll than what everyone suspects, he was alone with the baby for 6 hours and didn't check on the baby, the baby was grunting and he only checked on Lucas after elka asked him to come see the baby. He then brushed it off and told her to go to the hospital in the morning if it got worse. If she suspects he hurt the baby I'd understand why she wouldn't tell him when she went to the hospital seeing as he might have tried to stop her. He also slept through the night and left her to monitor the baby alone. If I was a parent I would be sick with worry unable to sleep. She acts strange but I wonder if it's because she's in shock. She may be confused and scared if she suspects him. The smiling is also very off putting so I definitely understand why people are saying it's duppers delight. She definitely has a weird vibe but I wonder if it's some form of mental disability, they are both definitely guilty to some extent but I do wonder who is at fault for the injuries the baby suffered. It just seems to easy to blame her without really looking at the whole picture. Also this is just my personal opinion so please don't attack me for it. Also if someone kills a baby they shouldn't go to jail they should die. (Again personal opinion)

Honestly, I think it was Steven. Elka seems awkward but not conniving. Steven on the other hand seems suspicious - his responses sound rehearsed. Why is he not freaking out more about being wrongly accused? I’d think an innocent person would show some emotion about the possibility of being locked up over something they didn’t do. Why is he not more emotional about sitting next to his son’s possible killer? And his response about the killer stepping forward was weird. I also think that his mom’s insistence it was Elka is redirecting everyone’s attention to Elka and distracting attention away from her son.

I agree with you. I actually think it was the husband. She presents as kind of odd, but that doesn't mean she's a murderer. She almost seems like someone who has an intellectual disability and I think the husband - who is reasonably articulate - may have actually told her what to say because she was saying it so slowly. When you're actually using your own brain to recall something that's pretty detailed, your eyes shoot to the top of your head for a second. Her unblinking kind of stare seemed much more like something rehearsed than something that she was using her actual recall for. And the lack of anyone else being POSSIBLE. There was mention at the end of the second show about some "trusted babysitter" who for whatever reason, couldn't have done it or something and who they haven't brought into it yet. But he was the only one there. And when she last had the baby, a whole bunch of people can attest to the baby not being in that condition/comatose. And when she said something about giving the baby something but not much to eat during the time the baby was supposed to be already in a coma, he turns on her pretty quickly says "this is the first time I'm hearing about this", when if you really thought your partner definitely did not do it, as he is claiming, you wouldn't say that. On international television. I'd wait and speak with them in private and say "what do you mean, you fed him?" Also, they mentioned the baby had a bruise on his head, and they could also see that he had recovering rib fractures, so they had already caught the attention of DOCFS. I just have this gut feeling that it's him and he's told her what to say. She doesn't exactly seem capable of masterminding getting away with murder and I noticed she did say several times what a good father Steven was. And if you just take away all words, all faces/expressions and look at only their actions, if he had taken the baby sooner, he might have lived. But yeah the actions are: she's at a pretty public family gathering and the baby is fine, she brings him home and leaves the baby with Steven. When she gets home, she takes the baby to the hospital (she does - not him).

Eyes darting all over, stumbling over words, getting confused by basic questions. This girl is not all there and I mean that in the most decent way possible. She is responsible for this child’s death, the father knows it otherwise he would have been up and at the hospital with her and that child. & knowing that, especially that he’s covering for her, they both deserve to be held accountable. I hope this happens before the next child is born.

She was shaking that baby THE WHOLE TIME. He was fussy, bruised on the face! had a fractured rib, under his curve and not eating right because she was shaking him! His soft spot was swollen and he wasn’t breathing good and she didn’t rush him to the hospital!? She killed her baby and I hope justice is served for baby Lucas and she goes to prison for life.

pretty sure it was the mother,-elka. she is soo sketchy i don't like her i think she killed her newborn, i cant believe she is pregnant and about to have another one. she needs to be put in jail.. she/elka can have that baby in prison and then have it give to the father. i dont think the father did kill the baby, and he seemed attached to the baby. the mother however does not seem attached to the concept of children. i think the mother is awful an the father seems decent

Don’t even get me wrong people I was 19 when I had my daughter and I was a total idiot and I had no idea how to raise a kid and it was scary and you don’t know what you’re doing. That’s why they have parenting books and classes on KZbin and there are ways that can teach you how to be a parent and you don’t need anyone else in your life so the fact that they were so blatantly neglectful of this baby is just crazy to me
