Claus killed himself for two reasons. 1. He didn't want Porky to use him to hurt Lucas anymore. 2. Hinawa said to Claus during the fight, "Claus, come to your mother." How else can he come to her other than killing himself?

Seriously, where did some of those cartoons come from? Like the ones with the Earthbound characters in the air attacking the King P statue? Or the brief images of Teddy, Loid, and Anna? Those were some epic cartoons, though I get the feeling they're modeled after something. I haven't seen much Shaman King, so I apologize if I don't recognize it as that.

*SPOILERS* Technically, after the masked man starts hearing Hinawa's voice, Lucas is able to attack again. So, as Lucas slowly weakens the masked man, he becomes more and more weak to lightning. So, by time Lucas has beaten him up enough for that cutscene to happen, Claus is hurt worse from lightning.

It is a game that was targeted at children, which is the humor is slapstick for the most part. As for the slow part, there's plenty of slow- paced games. And the graphics aren't that bad. They're better than Zelda's Adventure's graphics, which are awfully blurry. And there's character development. In Mother 3, Lucas starts out shy and easily frightened, but by the end, he becomes much braver and more determined. And the stories are great. Mother 3 has one of the best and saddest plots in gaming.

Here's something I don't understand... Claus fires an intense bolt of lightning a gew times and it only does around 120 damage to him each time. So why does that last one he fires kill him? The game doesn't say that he fires an intense bolt of lightning with the last ounce of his strength, it just says "Claus fired an intense bolt of lightning.", so how is it a 1HKO?

The games are japanese in origin, yet you should already know that. Only Earthbound (Mother 2) was properly and officially released in America, and fans to this day are still very upset about it. If Nintendo intended to re-release the games on a 3D console for a more modern style of playing, I think Mother Fans would rejoice. But, you right about one thing, the games take place in an american style country setting.

Well, thats a true statement. But, in my eyes of view, I think Claus killed himself becuase he remembered about his family and was attacking Lucas. Therefore, he killed himself because of hurting his younger brother. And before when Claus was young, he went out to kill the dragon that killed Hinawa. He could have killed himself because he wanted to be with his mother, or the reason I just said.
