It seems that the mother and her baby stay in close proximity constantly and most of the time in fact are touching. I presume this is natural behavior for hippos mothers to protect them against the dangers in the wild.
Did you see the baby blow a bubble? I wonder if that was just by chance or if it actually knows how to blow bubbles.
