So because she is a stay at home mom, stays with them a lot more and is a control freak means she gets more credit for being more nurturing while the dad who provided financial stability gets no recognition. Please. The only reason she wants the children is because she doesn’t want to work and wants the child support. You wonder with rulings like these, why fathers give up. The courts is so biased in custody hearings in favor of moms when clearly they aren’t always the best option. As a woman this sickens me because these rulings is not in the best interest of the children.

So, the daily pot smoking mom, whose last job lasted all of 4 days, tried to torpedo dad's step-mom's job of 15 years. Between that and the mysterious allegations made against dad to CPS, she comes off as a vindictive psycho. Two little girls went to the hospital to be examined after the CPS allegation. Putting kids thru that, and/or coaching them against the other parent, are lines that need to be taken more seriously by the court as active harm.

If you are barely employable please do not bring children into the world. It never helps a relationship and it turns into a mess for those kids.

50/50 custody but he still pays child support?? So he supports them on his and her time? How much of that will go to the kids and how much to the drugs? 1. She smokes weed and I don’t for a second believe it’s just twice a day. Not if she is willing to attack him as soon as she runs out. So the kids learn that drugs make everything better. 2. No tag or insurance on a car that has multiple issues. But still driving. The kids learn that rules don’t matter. 3. Her mom is violent, her brother is violent and so is she. No doubt she will move into her mom’s and they will all be fighting in front of the kids. The kids will learn to attack every time they get upset. 4. Her brother is still living at home at 27 mooching off mom and she refuses to work or keep a job for more than 5 minutes. So the kids will learn apathy instead of working towards goals. They will also learn to lie about everything. Always be the victim and accuse everyone else of whatever you can to turn things in your favour. She and her brother probably learned from mom. The cycle will continue. The kids are ruined before they are even starting out.

The problem here seems to be the primary custodial residence presumption. It way overemphasizes the impact of having kids either switch regularly between parents' houses or have to switch their primary residence once. If both parents live in the same geographic area this is not such a strong negative for them in reality that it should put a presumption on keeping a primary residence or not having equal parenting time. It's one thing if the houses are an hour away from each other and going to the same school between them is a problem, but if so that should be on the record for consideration (and still shouldn't presumptively avoid switching primary residence, just makes equal time untenable).
