Mom would have crushed this hearing if she had an attorney instead of thinking she was so amazing as an attorney. She blew it, she CRIED the entire time, but ACTED LIKE SHE WAS PROFESSIONAL. She lost this in my opinion by being INSANE.😂

He walked away very educated and raised us as people are people and everyone deserves respect and dignity and the right to pursue happiness ❤ he is 70 now and still awesome. He needs dentures and I find the va lack of concern about him being able to eat upsetting. I wish there was something I could do to help him but itll cost close to 5k and the va doesn't care.

The judge I agree with you on. Dad's lawyer is allowing her to sink her own boat. Yeah, Dad may have called her names he shouldn't have, but his lawyer is allowing the judge to see just how hard Mom pushes Dad. Where as Dad has shown he has their daughter's best interest in mind, Mom is more interested in showing how she is a victim and it's all about her. If his lawyer constantly objected or interrupted, the judge wouldn't see that for himself. And so far it's working cause even the judge is getting tired of her. The judge's temper started to flair a few times toward the end. We need the second part of this case!!!

I don’t think he is actually a judge. He called himself the “referee”, but I think he is clerk level and just arbitrating. There is no judge here. That's a referee. He mentions it at the start and what he is listed as being on the Grand Traverse County website. He was a law clerk who was hired as a Juvenile Referee. His title is now a Domestic Relations Referee.

And I agree he's a real bumbler and is struggling to control the court room in so many ways! He also is giving this woman - who is a LAWYER - WAY too much leeway! He needs to have higher expectations of this trained lawyer. BUT, he is not a judge and does not have all of the legal knowledge and experience as a judge, or even a lawyer. For those wondering about an update, the latest entries to the case docket online show that 02/29/2024 father filed a "motion for order to show cause re: Plaintiff's (mom) disappearing with child and violating parenting time." Mom filed an answer to that motion on 03/04/2024 and there is a hearing acheduled for 03/13/2024.

Sadly, I had a husband like this woman and it was hel# on earth for 6 loooooong years! I'm up to the 1 hour 47 second mark and wondering if it's time to dip out... I'm having violent thoughts towards a certain someone that's an attorney representing herself! He won a few things in the short term, and neither of my children have spoken to him, except his birthday, in about 20 years. "He did it to himself, mom" is what they've said to me over the years when I've suggested maybe to consider more contact with him. I agree, I think if he objected to a lot of these we wouldn’t have gotten so many of the little details from the father like her hitting him while holding the baby but she only points out when he did it and I get that’s the point. Her anger comes out during this to the judge a bit and her facial expressions shows she’s angry at certain points she definitely instigated a lot of those fights.
