My friends had two sister cats who were both pregnant at the same time. One cat’s litter died shortly after birth, her sister had four healthy kittens. The latter sister saw how her sibling was mourning her loss, and brought two of her kittens to her to raise.

My car died, after birth. So my cat, who had both parents, (so the grandfather and grandmother), were only present. But they died after few months, they were old. So I sent them to a family relative, who adopted my deceased cats sister. Who is not pregnant, care for them, living with their aunt.

My daughter's cat, Sugar, had a litter of 4 kittens about 2 weeks old. She found some dirty scrawny newborn kittens and brought all 3 in to nurse alongside her own. She also had another earlier litter (a few months older) and she never stopped him from nursing too if he wanted. She is a beautiful longhair cat with a heart of gold. They never did find out where she found d those kittens.

Goldie feels that these 3 kittens are every bit as much hers as the kitten she gave birth to. I think she is amazing & I am so happy she has 4 kittens to love, nurture & raise!

Long time ago, neighbors dumped kittens in my family yard. My cat first hissed& growled at them. kittens kept following her. After a few days, we found her nursing those kittens. Absolutely amazing!! The mere presence of the kittens induced lactation in my cat. Didn't know that was possible.😮

The love of animals never surprises me it is absolutely beautiful how they just automatically adopt and take over raising orphaned kittens and I think it is just absolutely incredible…. Watching this brought a huge smile to my face and if you knew me you would know that that is extremely hard to do so I thank you very very much God bless you God bless Goldie and her newfound kittens/little family may they all find wonderful forever homes when they grow up enough to leave their new mama…

Cats are one of the best moms in the animal kingdom. It's rare that one would deny it's own or an orphaned baby. All the cat knows is that it's a baby and that it needs to be taken care of. So sweet.

When my cat was a kitten he had 2 mom's. His bio mom and his mom who basically adopted him/cared for him (the 2 female cats had a litter at around the same time). His bio mom fucking hated him. She'd smack him around constantly, growl at him, or just look at him and intimate him. I don't believe he was the runt either. Thankfully the other mama cat pretty much adopted him. Even when my cat was well past being a kitten I'd see them groom each other and cuddle. Tldr: no they aren't always the best mom's lmao

Years ago I adopted three feral kittens - Zoot, Phoebe, and Murray. My one year old patch tabby, Nina, (also an adopted feral) quickly adopted them as her own and nursed them, and this video made me all misty-eyed at the memory. They're all passed now except Murray. He's 18.5 years old and a big gray flufball of love. Not one regret!

It looked as though Momma Cat didn't have much milk at the first suckling, but Mother Nature is truly wondrous. Just that fairly minor stimulation by the babies, TRYING to get milk, releases oxytocin in Momma Cat's bloodstream, then... _voilà - MILK WILL BE PRODUCED, IN SUFFICIENT QUANTITY!_ *She is a VERY SPECIAL and LOVING Momma Cat; I'm **_SO_** glad you have kept her!*
