I think the mother cat accepted the kitties because of the smell. As you have been touching them, your smell is already on the kitties. This smell blended with other kitties at home and her smell. That's why the mother cat quickly accepted them as her own babies. Thank you for saving them. God and angels will love you .

I was really scared. I mean really! 2 mother cat rejected them. When I was walking to my apartment I was so worried. But our beautiful mother cat took them as her own. They are now happy. But let me tell ya something they are really talkative compared to other kitties lol

I too am in a similar position right now....I'm not far from you traveling in Bulgaria and I keep seeing stray kittens by the side of the road literally almost every day. It's upsetting me how often I see it. Do stray cats abandon their kittens a lot? Why do they do it? Is it cos the kittens are ill? I'm really shocked at how often I see it.... I thought cats were pretty caring for their kittens, but it seems a lot of them can't be bothered to look after them. I do what I can and feed some soft food like pate to the ones that can eat it. But some of them won't even let you approach them even though they cry constantly. It's really sad and hopeless, they're crying for their mothers but they're gone and they won't let anyone else help them. I can't take them in cos I'm traveling. Anyway I appreciate you compassion mate....keep up the good work!

Back in the 1960's when I was a young boy, my cat had 5 kittens. One of our neighbor's cats had 5 kittens about the same time. But our neighbor's mother cat was hit by a car. Our neighbors asked if my mother cat could care for their kittens. We brought the kittens to our house, my cat immediately started cleaning them and let them nurse. She took them in like they were her own and raised 10 kittens past weening 💕

Thank you! I was neutering at least 2 cats a month before. But now the inflation in Turkey in 3 digits and neutering costs are more than 4 times as last year.

I waited 4 hours on the first day. After that day their mother didn't show up and their foster mother rejected them, unfortunately. The park is so close to my apartment, I still check the park for mother cat when I feed my regular cats but no chance at the moment.

Once you brought the orphan kittens home I was holding my breath all the time. It was such a big relief and release of tension to see how fast mother cat clicked with them and started nursing them. Absolutely such a remarkable and extraordinary mother.

I was so worried. If the mother cat didn't want her I don't know what would I do. I still bring them home but kitten formula is only a supplement for them. They need mother's milk. Fortunately, the mother cat accepted them as her own. It's been 6 days since I got them home. Now they are no more crying. They play with their older brother and sisters and they have a great mother. 🙏

I was so worried that mother cat would reject them. but she didn't! If she did reject them I would feed them with kitty formula but nothing more nutritious than a mother's milk.

You are the best fur-baby-daddy I've ever met. There's no "I can't" in your vocabulary. You give these foster children more love and support than humans give to theirs. I live below poverty level and have 5 rescue kitties. They eat better than my Husband, son and I. However, on Friday they get sardines and we have salmon or roast chicken. It looks like we're going to have to rescue another pregnant Calico. She keeps trying to get in and we're feeding her dry food.
