But that confessional is not evidence. So while you and I probably feel that he should be locked up forever call without physical events they can't sentence him in that manner. If she was in a dumpster, why wasn’t the landfill searched with cadaver dogs? Other departments have done this in the past and found a body. I’m confused why the police are not looking for her remains. Or even if his story is true.

It depends on the area, #1. #2, the amount of time passed. In just a day of trash collection a landfill can fill a couple of feet, especially in a big city. Considering the fact that she was originally thought to be missing, she’s buried under days, or perhaps even weeks worth of trash. Legally, a landfill is only allowed to be excavated to a certain depth because of the toxins that accumulate and are produced within a landfill are extremely hazardous to humans. They probably have done an estimation and have drawn the conclusion that she is too far buried to be retrieved.

It is possible they both had underlying medical issues that neither of them were aware of because they were young. No one knows what happened except the GOD.
