Hello my dеar friends, my name is Irina. I live in Chita in Zabaikalskiy region of Russia. My English teacher is a friend of Michael Shipley . He moved to Russia from America many years ago. In 1997 Michael brought a cassete with a movie "Charlotte's Web" from USA. My teacher started to use this movie on her lessons in school with her students. This way young citizens of Zabaikalye, that were studying English met and loved the characters of this story. The movie and songs are really great, and our kids like them as much as yours do. :)

Every single often time I feel sad, I watch this movie and then I remember that I am still alive and that there is hope for us. Charlotte passed away, but Wilbur survived. @@adrasteia3866 you say that as if some parents stop singing to their children. Especially giving the type of relationship displayed by them. What you're saying holds merit, but you don't know any more than I do. Debbie being a singer as well could have sung this, as most singers may tend to serenade their family. They both were singers, and having performed together I'm positive something like adulthood didn't stop one or the other from singing to the other at times.

One of the Shermans' most beautiful and subtle bits of lyric writing comes in the reprise of this song when Charlotte passes away - they switch the order of the words and end it with the 'for just a moment' part. Such a little thing that adds another level of meaning to the song.

How very special are we, indeed. Listening to this song makes me realize just how precious life truly is, and how beautiful it is. Though life is short, it's the sweetest gift God can give, and we all take it for granted. All the beauty in the world is overlooked, and man has become ungrateful for all God has blessed this world with. This song is a very sweet way of showing thanks for this life and this world, and Debbie Reynolds' voice itself reflects the appreciation we should all have for God's great gift.

It reminds me of a mother singing this to her child as they grow up, until it's the last thing they sing together. The child passes that song onto their children and they do the same. I played this song while putting my furbaby cat Cloudy to rest. I hope it was claiming for her. Godspeed to those that lose a furbaby or Furfamily member. It is hard but remember they are at peace. If they brought you many years of happiness, then their lost will be hard. Don't feel guilty for crying or being so messed up. Think about it. Every day they run to greet you, comfort you, they offer conditional love to you and you offer unconditional love to them. So it is hard to say goodbye to someone so loyal and trustworthy. My eyes hurt from crying so much. I am so thankful for this song. I remember hearing it this as a child and feeling for Wilbur. I love this movie. I will make sure my children watch it.
