I was facing eviction also due to getting cataracts and losing my license to get to a job. I live in a rural area. Nobody helped me and now I’m living in my truck with my cat and can’t drive anywhere because dmv took my license for failing vision test. Life is great. Merry Christmas and I’m glad she got some help at least.

Find a seasonal job, a lot of them provide housing thats way less than what you would pay on your own and it comes out of your check. Its a good way for you to get in your feet and take it from there. Don't lose hope.

Nobody Should Have To Worry About Being Homeless 😢 Had A Friend Who Went Through it After A Messy Divorce, I Didn't Have Much But I Wasn't Going To Let Her Sleep In Her Car, So She Moved In With Me And My Kids, She Had Family All Over The Place But No one Would Help Her. But When She Got On Her Feet And Got Her Self And Blessed Me For Helping Her Then Family Came Out The Woods With Their Hands Out😮 Like She Said My Friend Was God Sent, He Blessed Me And Paying It Forward to Her , But No One Else. When I see stories like this I am always hoping that they will get into a program that will pay for a trade or even college degree. I live in south Florida so I don’t know much about services in Detroit but there are agencies like Career Source (I believe it’s nationwide) that will pay for a trade or college degree (the pay whatever is left after the pell grant) Unfortunately if she’s in a dead end job like retail or fast food then it’s an ongoing cycle. I used that program to obtain a paralegal certification, they assist with immediate employment after completing your trade or degree.

Thank you Jesus for answering somebody else prayers cause me and my grandkids are living in a shelter I had to go to the hospital and have back and neck surgery and I was in the hospital and rehab for about 3 to 4 months and I lost my apt and we was living in the car until one day the people from the title loan I had to get the loan for me and my grandkids had nowhere else to go so we stayed in the hotel and now we’re in a 30 day shelter

Mea is always somebody like you that not to be negative why can’t you just be like everybody else that was on here and say God bless your family why do you have to mention the father? Clearly he’s not in the picture you mention something you don’t know if their father is deceased or anything or handicap or he could’ve just skipped out that’s none of your business and people should keep their mouth shut if they’re not willing to help. financially or offer a prayer and encouragement and you don’t know when it’s gonna be your turn. Where are you going to need someone’s help because the tables can’t turn always somebody on here trying to judge somebody else’s situation as if they’re better, but if people got into your background, your history, your closet I’m sure we would find some things one day. One day you might be an elderly man and you may be alone, you might fall on hard times you might get sick you might end up needing a donor. It could be anything that could happen to you. Why are you sitting up here talking about somebody else you all need to do better with especially you mind your own business and pay attention to your own family issues because clearly you’re not willing to help in this situation you wanna be negative Can you take this whole situation to another level? But as they say misery loves company because if people were really happy with their situation, they wouldn’t go out their way to look up a story click on it and decide to leave a bad comment. not to mention, it’s hard for people financially whether you have a father in the house or not Food is very high rate is very high and the people in the city pay higher taxes and extra taxes that a lot of people don’t have to pay federal realize they have to pay for parking, depending on where they live even go take care of business at the court to even try to get child support they make you pay for parking and however, long that you’re there is how long you have to pay and if a special event is going on down there, it gets higher and higher so stop judging people situation if you don’t know, there’s people who still get Covid and get sick and have to takeoff anything could’ve happened you don’t know and if she’s a single mom, it’s even harder for her to realize being a single parent is just not rent that you have to worry about transportation the maintenance on your transportation auto insurance if you can afford it if you don’t have it then you gotta worry about getting a ticket and other things personal items I’m not even gonna go in on things but you people just always see what you wanna see like I said before keep your negativity to yourself. You have nothing nice to say and you ain’t willing to help this situation. no one needs your input.
