Stories like this makes me happy & sad... I was also adopted & found my birth family almost 50 years later. But it never would have happened if not for the help from elderly retired Army veterans, 2 Japanese reporters, & a world famous MMA fighter all reaching out to help a stranger find her family. It's quite an incredible tale & I wish I could get my story out to tell other adoptees to not give up on their own search for answers. I haven't met my mother & her son (my half brother) in person yet as they still live in Japan. I have also found my bio-father in Oklahoma, but there is no desire on his part to meet me & his granddaughter. I hope some day to make it to Japan to finally see my mother face to face. Sadly, circumstances over the years keep getting in the way & I've had to put those dreams aside due to financial & health reasons. She just turned 83 years old & her only wish is to hug me again before she departs this life...

So look for her. Don't wait around for them to look for you. Apologize and explain yourself and make it clear you're always open for communication.
@t-and-p23 сағат бұрын
Remember, you don't know what they've been through in life, whether they feel abandoned, whether they struggled in the system, whether life has been good to them, etc. Even though your reasons for giving them up may have been pure, with the very best of intentions for them, until they know that they will fill in the gaps themselves, and they might not come to the best conclusion. I have relatives who were adopted. One wanted to meet his bio parents but was terrified of being rejected. The other feels that her adoptive family are the only family she needs and she does not want to know her bio family because she feels abandoned by them. Everyone is different and that has to be respected. From their experience, I can honestly say that one of the best things you can do is write each of them a letter, as it allows them to hear from you in a way that suits them (they can choose to read it alone or supported by friends/loved ones, without the pressure of you being sat in front of them). Both of my relatives had letters from their mothers and both were very grateful to receive them. They may feel angry or upset, and that space in the initial communication allows them to process that without falling out with you. Give them information to answer their questions (they deserve that), tell them how you feel (you deserve the chance to tell them that), and give them the autonomy to come to you when they are ready (to avoid emotionally charged confrontations). That way, no matter what happens, you can have a clear conscience - knowing that you tried to make amends and that you have offered them answers in an effort to ensure that they are at peace with your decision and have the information they need. But as annawhyte5890 has said, you need to look for them, so that they don't feel totally abandoned. They deserve that from you. Wishing you every success and a happy resolution to what I'm sure is a very painful chapter in your life 💕

But there’s clearly resentment on their own and life just have been tough for them.

If God was real, then they wouldn't have had to wait years to find out they are mother and child. There's no credible evidence to show or support a God in existence anywhere in reality.

@@johnwright689 I have been alive for 53 years soon to be 54 years, and in all those years I have never once seen the God of the bible farless anyone named Jesus. And for that very reason I don't go around try to take fairytale as real.

@fresh-eggs HE(GOD) is the very essence why we all breathe and live and have our being. Without HIM we are nothing whether you believe it or not. Today is the day of SALVATION in YESHUA YASHUA YOOSHA JESUS or whatever you choose to call HIM. HE is not a respecter of persons
