I think the mother should raise her lovely daughter(she looks just like her) with lots of participation by grandmom, if/when possible. Violence in residential circumstances is ideally avoided but many times such circumstances are out of the residents’ control and as well the ability to move. Additionally, the grandmom has other daughters. Remember the baby’s middle name was in remembrance of the dad’s little sister and he chose that name.

This girl is NOT evil. She was clearly suffering from antenatal depression. Everyone is so aware of postnatal depression but not enough people know the real emotional and mental turmoil a woman can experience IN pregnancy too. I was thinking the same thing. Part of love is providing a safe environment. My heart goes out to them, but it's her duty, by any means necessary to provide a better environment for that child. Daughter gone at 15, son liked while the baby was in the back seat. Baby Ava needs a better chance to grow. She deserves not to grow up in a war zone.

It takes communities reaching out to youth to offer better examples and alternatives to crime. It takes people viewing one another as people, regardless of location, color or gender. If the government is willing to offer real solutions and help out, great. But it starts with us.

I think when Ava's mom set boundaries for her home she was attempting to prevent certain undesirable elements from congregating where she and her older child lived. (I can't blame her for considering adoption for Ava when the father was involved in that life/death style.)

That young grandmother is incredibly BEAUTIFUL inside out! She has been through an unimaginable pain losing 2 children. She behaves so well, she speaks calmly given the circumstances. You can feel her pain. When it was confirmed the child was her son's she couldn't stop crying she looked the other way expecting/hoping to hug with the other lady but she didn't even turn her head at her direction. I felt so sad for her. My condolences for her loss.
