Perfect video. Well made. Love how you explain the extra details to help prevent errors as we go. I just learned that a lower temp cold oven start really makes a difference. I found a similar recipe but says use 1.5 cups of butter. I'm not sure I can tell this difference.

I use this recipe for all my pound cakes...I got it as the "Elvis Presley" pound cake from his cook....love it, simple and easy...yes, BUTTER rules!!!...been off margarine 🤢😫for 40yrs...

Cake was fantastic & eaten within 2 days, Lovely lady💕💕. I did use a pound cake pan & use brown paper to line the bottom of pan. My Oma did this & I still do - I hope you understand the use of brown bag liner w round hole cut out in center Love ya ❤️

I made a cold oven pound cake years ago and it was fabulous, with a nice crust on the outside. Delicious. I agree about real butter. Never use margarine. It's fake and not healthy.

I live in a warm climate and never preheat my oven for cakes only bread. I found it to be a waste of gas. Will try your recipe.
