Mother of 12-year-old girl swept off by raging floods in Kangemi recounts heartbreaking ordeal

Two weeks ago, on Thursday 23rd, Grade 6 pupil Ashley Nyaboke and her Mother were deep asleep when their house was flooded breaking the walls before sweeping her away into the nearby river. The search mission that began swiftly has not been successful as the body of the 12-year-old is yet to be recovered.
