Mother of 5, whose husband suddenly died, sobs after surprises from Secret Santa & David Archuleta

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift $500,000 this holiday season! Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and wants to help as many people as he can.
We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.
Maila Galo's husband, Ben Galo, was killed unexpectedly on Aug. 20 in a construction accident. The couple had been married for nearly 20 years and now Maila is left alone to raise and provide for their five children. The family then had to move in with Maila's brother's family to help make ends meet in the absence of Ben's salary.
With the move, the children started new schools the day after their dad's funeral and there are now 19 people living in that one home. Just days ago, Malia's oldest son left for a Latter-day Saints mission in Omaha, Nebraska. He opened his mission call a few days before his dad's accident and will now be gone for two years. This is a major expense and another big adjustment for this single mom.
Maila is collecting very little from Ben's accident insurance and tries to live so humbly as she cares for her children ages 16, 14, 12, and 7.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to surprise Maila at her brother's home and, along the way, the crew picked up American Idol star David Archuleta so he could bring the spirit of Christmas through music.

My sister in law just lost her husband only 3 weeks ago and I lost my husband mid September after 30 years of marriage, we have 3 kids; 2 grown and with a 15 year old son, but my SIL had 4 with 34 years of marriage and even though their 4 sons are grown he left behind 7 grandchildren. Hi to Secret Santa 🎅 I was watching this story and it brought to my eyes I am feeling what this lady is feeling because on September 1,2019 I lost my husband to but this happened in Mexico 🇲🇽 he went to visit his sisters 👯 and never made it back home this was a car accident cause buy a drunk driver that crashed on head collision and he killed my husband when I seen this lady crying in this video I cried I miss my husband with all my heart ❤️ I was married for 31years I have three sons but I will never forget this man because he was a hard work and very loving 🥰 and caring I wanted to share my story I got to be strong for my family but it’s hard Love 💕 Carmen M Diaz 💕❤️😍🥰💞🌷🌹♥️💐💗😘

Carmen,I am so sorry to hear that your wonderful husband died in September. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I was widowed twenty two years ago, but still remember the pain, shock, and disbelief that someone so wonderful could have gone. Love does survive, Carmen. In time the pain will ease and the sweet memories will be the ones that stay with you. I still laugh at things my husband said or did,and it 's the laughter that has stayed with me. You have to be brave now and make a new life for yourself. It's not the life you ever wanted, but above everything else, your husband would want you and your wonderful sons to lead the best lives you can and to be happy. I pray that you find peace of mind at this painful and difficult time of year. Sending loving thoughts from England
