Laura, this is one of the best videos you've made to date. Lil Louie is so precious! I appreciate the fact that you allowed yourself some time to rest and recover about the birth. But, I will also say that it is inspiring to see you up and about taking care of your sweet family, too. You can tell you've raised your children right, your husband is your helpmate, and the way your home is ran proves that; it doesnt fall apart when you're off your feet. Many blessings from north Texas!❤

Newborn baby snuggles, sniffing their fuzzy head, hearing their sweet noises and so much more. I miss this all. At 45, our youngest is 2 and I'm done having babies. 😂😂 i definitely wouldn't mind someone else having a baby that i can cuddle with. ❤❤😂😂 We have blueberry bushes, and that way of making french toast looks easier and yummier. Definitely have to try it.

Seriously, if you just can't stand life without the baby sounds, consider fostering newborn puppies or kittens! Your local humane societies probably really need the help, and one of the big "benefits" is that they end up going to great homes. Then, a few weeks later, you get to do it again! OR, you can always foster actual baby newborns, but the attachment is much stronger and the emotional attachment is far greater. We have had kittens a couple of times, and I absolutely love it. But when you have seven or eight little six-week old monsters, you do look forward to some peace and quiet after they go to their forever homes--but only for a few weeks . . . . then you need it again!

Congratulations! I could never do a wrap. It always hurt my back - and I was very weak after all my births - plus I worry how babies breathe - their neck in that position for so long - and their need to stretch and move their legs and change position. I did a swaddle for naps and sleep which I wouldn’t do if I had to do it all over again for the reason of stretching and changing position. You’ve had 7 and it works for you so I’m not criticizing in the least - I marvel at those who can carry the baby in a wrap. I personally couldn’t. I did hold and rock my baby every moment I could. I did my housework when the babies were asleep.

I love that you understand that you need to take care of you. Your family will benefit from that. I’m 69 years old, and women were expected to be superwomen in the 70s and 80s when I had my three kids. I did it all and wore myself out. I didn’t work outside the house when my kids were little and then worked as an educational assistant when they were all three in school. I had summers and holidays off with them which was very important to me. I eventually finished college and started teaching when I was 47, and I am so glad that my family was my priority before my career. God knew that I needed to be with kids at that point since I was experiencing empty nest syndrome with my own kids. I still had much maternal energy to expend, so it was perfect. It’s all in His time. I love your videos. You bless me!

It’s a beautiful thing, I’ve only had 1 baby and this wasn’t a thing for me, keeping my baby cuddled up like this. That said, I always get nervous when I see m9ms cooking with the baby in the wrap, I know I’m being to fearful, but I guess it’s just a thing for me. I know you’re your very careful too. I just found out I'm pregnant with my 7th baby....my 6th will be 2 in October. All my kids are 2 years or less apart. We decided our 6th was our last and did our best to prevent getting pregnant. God had other plans and blessed us with a 7th.....I want to be excited like I was with all my kids and yet I can't. I had 4 home births and this time I want to go to hospital to get epidural. I'm scared of labor. But then again I'm scared of hospital because of getting a c-section with my 4th. My 5th was at hospital but did an epidural because I felt like my c-section scar was getting ripped open. To the point where I didn't even care about labor pains. My 6th was painful labor and was so quick I went from zero to an 8, in minutes, labor was less then 2 hours and midwife barely made to the house. The pain felt extreme because how quick it was. My kids loved the experience thu to waking up to baby cry out, at 1am, and they alled popped to looking in thru the door. I'm torn. Financially hospital would be free, and that also would help. But mid wife would be almost $4000. 😩

When you're using your great facial machine, don't go in downwards motions. Everything should be upwards, never down. Down causes wrinkles. The only part if the face that doesn't apply to is the nose. Your baby is so sweet. I miss the newborn phase. My last newborn came in 1994 so it's been a while for me. Everything was done differently back then. :)

Great video! I just had my fourth and I'm soaking in all the snuggles and spending so much time resting and just holding him. With every child i keep hoping that this time I'll master baby wearing and every time I'm disappointed again. Maybe I'm too short but the position makes them feel so much heavier and i get exhausted and i can't reach the things i need to do. Maybe I'm just not getting a good wrap? Your baby looks so tight on your body, I'll need to try getting one like that. I also find that with more kids, holding the baby is like a treat and a rest while with your first, it's a chore that you never had to do before. Question for you, if baby sleeps in the wrap all day, don't you find that they are up more in the night?
@ouroilyhouse4 ай бұрын

I wish I could "force" myself to stay in the bedroom with the baby for two weeks. I come from a culture where mothers are expected to get up and go from day 1, carry out everyday duties and entertain guests who come to see the baby. With my first I was out and about doing things, weather was beautiful, I just didnt want to stay at home, didnt know any better. With my second, I promised myself I'll take it easy, soak up all the newborn snuggles etc, turns out baby had lots of issues with nursing so I was seeing some sort of specialist almost everyday, and then I felt guilty for my toddler and just couldnt force myself to rest when he needs me to. My "baby" is one in few days, and I do not have any memories of him being a newborn, life was so fast paced, I regret it. We do want another child, I am really hoping that I will be able to soak up that amazing time, it goes by so fast.
