Thank you for explaining this. It makes me unterstand my own life's work better. I am nobody, I work because there is work to be done, and I don't get satisfaction from it. At times I ponder how it would be nice to retreat from the world and attend to spiritual practice only, because I am done playing in the world and looking for fun or love or whatever. But I always feel it would be a waste to do that. Since I have a life and many abilities to assist others I feel I should remain in the world and work, just because that is what is needed. So I work and I guess it serves someone in a meaningful way and I'll never know or get anything out of it. Just in the entirety of Devi's play it means something somehow and that's reason enough to keep doing my work.

My Mother is very old and i start to feel her live. 2 years i feel ill, because so much problems in the live of my mother, my neighbors, all the people all around. He built a small hut and started to live in that, meditating every day. He had very few clothes, pair of kaupin (underwear of cloth only), shirt and towel. One day he found his clothes damaged by rats. He brought new clothes, again rats damaged them. Now he brought a cat. Cat caught few rats and ate up. Cat started mianu, mianvu, bcoz it was hungry. So to feed that cat, he brought one cow. Now with cow's milk cat happy. He arranged a lady to look after cow, feeding, cleaning cow dung and milking the cow. Now, is it possible to do any tapasya for this sage?. He started his living with new family members. Isn't it same for, those who found there spouses in Ashram?.

I haven't seen that video, But Sadhguru has always talked about energy centres, like the 7th hill in Velliangiri mountains or the Himalayas. And he has always said that these energy centres will remain as such even if earth doesn't exist. So in that sense he might referring to Dhyanalinga or the IYC as whole as the crystal City. I am not sure though. You might see the videos Have you met any himalayan yogis, where he talks about energy centres.

People should cross verify this themselves - either through Ramakrishna Vivekananda literature or clarify from Ramakrishna Math - Chennai or Belur. In a nutshell , post Vivekananda's fathers death - when he asked his Guru to pray to Kali Maa for his family's well being - SriRamakrishna simply asked Vivekananda to pray to her (Kali Maa) himself and he further added that SHE(Kali Maa) will grant him whatever he prays. However what repeatedly transpired whenever Vivekananda entered Kali Maa's temple for such a prayer is something every body should read. Whenever he did try - he forgot about what he wanted. It was Sri Ramakrishna who repeatedly sent him again and again asking him not to forget what he must pray. In short - the conclusion is that Swami Vivekananda himself could never really ask for material wishes from Kali Maa and subsequently post repeated such failed attempts - SriRamakrishna himself - his guru - actually blessed his family and granted his prayer. The meaning of this whole story is not needed for this comment but request people - real seekers to verify themselves.

Yes indeed, such of us acquainted with the Ramakrishna Vivekananda literature, have only known what you described. Swamiji was disturbed by his family's poverty and other adversities after his father's death. He wanted his Guru to relieve him of this constant worry. One doesn't see him requesting the Guru to cure his mother in any one instance, that would have made him quite unfit.

You are right indeed.... the story (as he narrates) is slightly over-colored, cause Ramakrishna never reprimanded him for asking anything ...in fact Thakur asked him to pray for whatever he needed back then ... despite his desperate need for materialistic gains ...however he couldn't !!!!. But that's all where the over-coloring discrepancy ends; as as sadhguru rightly said the "trajectory" had to be set ..so the necessary molding had to be done ... that was just one of the trigger point (there were many others though)

The dilemma event happened long back between two mahatmas. Any body who analyze a topical issue happened in someone's life should have lived in that period and should have been present closely at that point of happening. Or anyone among the two mahatmas who were part of that dilemma event should by themselve explain the background. Instead others explaining about a topical event happened in some other's life will lead nowhere. The speaker could have been humble enough in mentioning the names of those two mahatmas- atleast should have used "Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda" while referring them, becas both are adored by the whole world. Their teachings lead the followers surely towards the right destination.

This is not the right story! Anyone can go and read the original story. When did Ramakrishna say exactly that? He asked Vivekananda that all your miseries will be gone if you ask mother Kali! Vivekananda was not a believer at that time of mother Kali. Ramakrishna did not stop him, he encouraged him to ask mother for his family's welfare, etc... it was Naren who could not ask those things! Twice he came back asking "Light, Devotion, and Viveka" instead of material wishes.. he simply forgot, and Ramakrishna sent him back, he couldn't do it even in his third and last attempt. At that moment, Ramakrishna felt proud realizing that he found a divine soul who wouldn't ask for a personal favor, so he blessed that Naren's family will be ok.
